I'm unclear on Empire rules of engagement.

If a person in your corp starts awoxing and he has out of corp logi, do the logi become in any way possible to attack?

Also how does out of corp logi work during wars?

AFAIK Assisting someone who is aggressing their corpmates does not cause you to go suspect, however assisting someone who is at war does.

If you're in the same corp you have the same flags, which means you can't make someone suspect for repping you, because you don't get into a limited engagement with the person you're shooting.

If you're repping someone who is either in a limited engagement, or have been attacking someone he's at war with, within the 15min pvp timer, you'll go suspect.

If you legally shoot someone that is not in your corporation, you will get a limited engagement timer with them for five minutes. This means they can legally shoot back (if they could not already).

Shooting someone in your corporation is always legal and causes no LE.

Providing remote assistance (remote repairs, ReSeBo, projected ECCM, etc) to a person with a limited engagement timer and/or a suspect flag is a Crimewatch yellow card offense. Providing remote assistance to a person with a Crimewatch red card is a red card offence (CONCORDOOKEN in highsec).

I believe (would need to test this) that if A and B are at war and A shoots B but B has not activated any hostile modules on A, then remote assistance to B is fully legal. Don't rely on my understanding being correct here.

Your best strategic option to deal with an AWOXer that has out-of-corp support is to neutralise their ship through means they have no external defense against. e.g. ECM jam them if they have logistics support, sensor damp them to loss of target locks if they have no ReSeBo, etc. Or, suicide attack their logistics ship with something like a Blackbird or Celestis to break their target lock, or just bump their DPS ship out of warp scram range from whatever ship you are trying to save.

No, you are free to use any out of corp logi to rep whoever is needing help in hs without getting a timer on you.

No thanks necessary

Not true, there are plenty of people you are not free to rep without incurring a timer.

Don't believe me? Set your logistic ship to red safety, then start repping a suicide gank Catalyst.

An easy way to figure it out;

1. If you don't want to get a timer, suspect flag or get popped by concord - leave your safety on green and try doing it.
2. If you're happy with a timer and suspect but don't want to get concorded - set safety to yellow.
3. If you don't care and/or are suicide ganking - safety off.

Using the safety system prevents derp, it also allows you to set how many timers/flags you're exposed to. Basically, if you're not sure - play with the safety settings and try RR'ing, etc.
