Using a cheap fit marauder + logi is a great defense against ganking. It's also inefficient for the reasons mention in the comments and here.

I don't know that particular blogger, but I'll bet he's mostly a PVP'r. One thing I've learned in the game: great PVP skills don't always translate to good PVE skills. To put more bluntly, I've watch more than one ACE PVP jock blow up in a DED Plex because he was SURE PVE was nothing lol.

Like this one guy who assured me that his ACTIVE TANK legion could easily tank a Blood Raider naval Shipyard solo. I told him it couldn't. Do you know what that guy said to me? He said "I think my killboard stats prove I know how to play this game" lol.

That ship went pop in about 10 seconds... and i never let him live it down.

I get that feel from that blogger. In EVE, PVE and PVP are different mindsets. Their is some overlap, but imo not much.

hes some ex-wow player who apparently "conquered the financial system" in wow, believing himself to be the worlds greatest gamer from that he joined eve to write trashy articles about how people should always listen to his advice because he has so much world of warcraft gold (no im NOT joking).

Dual boxing the same mission in a Kronos and logi, that's enough fail to stop reading right there. The guy has no clue. Two Amageddons spider tanking would more than double that DPS at any range over 16km while being cheaper, requiring less SP to fly and still having the same gank resistance advantage without being worth ganking in the first place.

I laughed pretty hard. This tells me that you have no idea how to blitz missions efficiently and effectively.

It's actually not entirely about the fit, it's about how you do it.

EDIT - I'm sure if you offered the OP 10 billion isk to make the video, he'd do it. And the knowledge you'd personally gain from watching it would be worth much more than 10 billion isk to you.

Everything goblin writes is gloriously wrong. He's pretty incredible in that regard, a monkey with a typewriter would be right more often, he's somehow hit a sweetspot where he's wrong more often than he would be if he just made random claims. Yesterday's blog included a straight denial of the existence of opportunity cost, apparently whenever anyone does anything you could potentially have done yourself you've been dumb and given up isk.

Regarding putting my money where my mouth is, if you guys can collectively raise the isk for the bet I'd be willing to do it including posting a guide of how I did it. I believe I make at least 1b/hr missioning so it'd be a solid investment to have me post a guide. Collectively pledge amounts, I'll arrange **** with Chribba if enough people are interested, we both send isk to Chribba and if I don't come through with the goods then you get your isk doubled and if I do then you now have the guide so you can make the isk back easily. But short of that, I shan't bother, I don't work for free. Say 25b bet for the guide and an hour of fraps.
