RP on a Constellation/Region level?

I've been in the game now for a few months, still a noob and still trying to feel my way around the mechanics of the game, learn the lore of the game, and find anyone else that is interested in the same aspects of the game and lore that I am. Its been a struggle.

I was wondering if there are and sort of RP hubs at a constellation or regional level, or if there would be interest in a few regional threads in the intergalactic summit forum that sort of tracked the small things, news releases, flavor RP, things that made new people feel like they could keep up on the comings and goings.

Eve is a big game, and a lot of the RP I read on the forums is very parochial and centered around one of a few story lines, or one faction or another in particular. It would be awesome, as a new guy looking to establish themselves into the RP structure, if there were some more general RP avenues centered around industry, specfic locales, trade, etc.

Just throwing it out there. If there are RP groups active in the Heimatar/Metropolis region, get in touch.
