Remodel the Rifter next?

Other than the Crucifier we've seen the WIP of during Fanfest, I'd love to see a new Rifter, as well as some improvements to its performance since it's now far behind in the Tech 1 Frigates league.

anyone else thinking the same?

the rifter realy needs a remodelling. The same also for the most other minmatar ships. (rupture, cyclone, Typhoon...)

i'm REALY miss the old stuff.

Boy, you must be trollin', the Rifter is the most iconic ship in the game! We love our rusty podracer of lead (or EMP, Phased Plasma, etc.) spewing doom!

The Pirate faction Battleships need to be remodeled first.

The Rifter is iconic and amazing and doesn't need to be changed at all, EVER.

the Rifter may be good at failfit busting but there are quite a few T1 frigates that surpass it in every way except for speed. whether it's tackling, tankability or DPS, the Rifter is behind so many frigates that I'm just skipping straight to the Jaguar or just use a Merlin when I want to go cheap.

BUFF THE RIFTER. and modernize it aesthetically while you're at it.

as for "The Rifter Is Iconic!" argument - that's probably the lamest argument for why not to change a ship. it doesn't help you in any way.

The Rifter is the most iconic, most recognizable, and (in mine and many others' opinions) most beautiful minmatar ship in all of New Eden.

I would like to propose a new target for the next flight of a thousand rifters.

OP, I'm looking at you.

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.

Believe it or not, I bought a Vagabond after the model update, purely for cosmetics. But, I agree, there IS something lost when your ship no longer looks like a rust bucket. As Han Solo once said, a ship is defined by its flaws, a sleek new ship has no soul, no character. If SOMETHING isn't malfunctioning, making weird noises, or venting smoke and/or atmosphere, then something's wrong with it.

The Rifter hulls is not changing, as many are attached to it and it is still pretty actual.
What it needs is a slight texture update, and a nice performance buff.
