How do you know that all the animals Caldari ships are named after aren't considered mythical in the post-gate New Eden? I imagine that when they have larps on Eve's planets they are dreaming of a magical fantasy world with such fantastical creatures as Ravens, Badgers, Kitsunes and Tayras.

The next Caldari ship needs to be a Panda then.

They're bound to be extinct and mythical by this time period.

EDIT: Plus it might get more WoW converts - let the Panda ship be a monk or maybe a shaman class.

Id like to see a more creatures names in ships, why not have a panda.

10 years ago i thought badger was a messed up name for a hauler, now for some reason i kinda like it.

Give me a cepter called a stoat

or a titan called chiwawa

I personally think Twinky would be a fitting name for a ship.

After all, it is now a mythical creature aswell.

Re-read Fozzie's post for context.

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

No, the spelling of the great Chihuahua was lost over the ages.

lets just take away all the names and use dots and slashes to represent names. then we have no more reason to complain from any side.

He calls them 'fantastical' not 'mythical'.

Big difference tbh.

You cannot name the Badger II the Tayra as a Tayra is neither, and therefore is breaking the theme naming.

Now not EVERY caldari ship fits this naming scheme, but the vast majority do. And you are making it even worse by adding another out of theme name.

While many Caldari vessels are named after things other than birds and mythical beasts I do think that the Tayra represents a missed opportunity...

I recall numerous new ship dev blogs with references to one Dev in particular - because his suggested name had been rejected again.
I think the removal of the Mks from the Industrials represented an ideal opportunity...

Let it be called the Booby!!!

like the description of the Wolf, which states that is inspired in a creature of "legend", yeah it has sense that 20000 years in the future, very far from Earth, people still remembers certain animals like legendary creatures.....

Have a thumbs up for the UHF reference!

On that thought, I suppose we could rename it the "Poodle," but we'll have to teach it to fly first....

I vote we rename it Unicorn.

Or Pony.

Princess Pony.

Flying Princess Pony Unicorn.

Dude, it was a rough night. My Taranis totally got owned by a Battle Flying Princess Pony Unicorn. They really should nerf those things.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?
