What do you guys reckon is better? Can train for T2 mods, just wanna know which would be best for two people running Gall missions.

All the Kestrel has over the Corax for missions is more mobility (which doesn't really matter for missions) and damage selectability, which in your case isn't a huge thing cause Serpentis are weak to Thermal and Kinetic so a Corax will definitely do better. I've used something like this:

[Corax, PvE]

Ballistic Control System II
Power Diagnostic System II

1MN Afterburner II
Small Shield Booster II
Phased Weapon Navigation Array Generation Extron
F-90 Positional Sensor Subroutines

Light Missile Launcher II, Scourge Fury Light Missile

Looks good, although I've gotta ask what that targeting painter is for. Is it 100% needed? I'm running with someone droning in a Vexor, would it be possible for them to paint and free up that midslot for another shield or more sensors?

Both are good for the difficulty level, the Corax though is a little better/safer due to its range tanking abilities (extreme LM range).

Use T1 ammo and range tank all missions. Corax does need any form of tank, Kestrel is fine with a MSE. Tested in about 300 L2s (including tB, MoM and DiD).

A TP is not obligatory, you can replace it with another sebo for better mission turnaround times.

Ehhm, why fly a corax at all??
The caracal does everything it does but better.

Best answer=don't fly a corax.

Two reasons:

1. Looks. Space Submarine > whatever the hell Caracal is supposed to be
2. Some L1 missions have gates that only allow frigates and destroyers, meaning a Caracal will be locked out.

That said, performance wise, you're right - a Caracal will more or less do everything a Corax can. Still, Corax is a fine little ship and can be a blast to fly, especially in LM configuration.

When you are two should you go for Destroyers. You both will do a lot more damage and need to tank much less. If you cannot use MWDs yet then fit an afterburner, but you will have more fun together by speeding around and killing stuff with rockets than just by sitting at range and with shooting missiles. Just a thought.

If you get too much damage for some reason then switch to the slower afterburner and use a shield recharger over the cap recharger.

The better the gear you fit the better the results.*)
