EVE crashes when changing any graphic setting

Hi,
So for the past few weeks any time I try to change ANY graphic setting (shader quality, window/fullscreen mode, texture etc.) Eve crashes giving me this message: "Unhandled page fault on read access to 0x0000140c at address 0x729c7484." Does anyone know how to fix this? It gets really annoying as my crapy computer cant run eve at any decent settings with more than 3 FPS, so not being able to change them sucks.

Additional Details:
Ive had this issue for a while. Before the new launcher I could just change the settings on the log-in screen without it crashing. I would also appreciate it if someone told me how to access the old log in screen without using the launcher.

I've had this issue quite a few times, as well. Unfortunately today (after the update) it stopped being hit-or-miss and now will crash whenever I try to change my resolution.
