We should set down some rules in these nerd contests.

1. No one hit wonders/plot divices.

2. No nerd numbers. SW and ST numbers are simply a result of "my schtar schip isch better because [insert nerd numbers]" internet arguments.

All you can use is what was on the screen week in week out and we will assume technology is on par between them.

How about we take STO as refence? :)

Max 10km range (Sensor AND Weapons), fixed firing arcs and horribly slow ships with abysmal maneuverability. :P

Stupidity should be a bannable offense.

I think StarGate would win.
I dunno if you ever heard of the attero device?
It is a device that locks on to any hyper-drive or warp-drive signature and make the ship blow up as soon as it hits warp.
Surely, not being able to travel anywhere would kill off any space faring race quite quickly.

It would not prevent traveling. Just makes the trips way long.

True true, but that would mean the StarGate people have all the time in the world to capture or kill everything everywhere, since help won't arrive for ages :P

It will destry the empires as "empires", and create small colonies. Remind me of "foundation" :)
Besides, who said we couldn't master the technology of others?
If every "universe" will get to use others technologie as well, then all we left is to decide who are better people/warriors. In that case the jedi/sith will win - you cant use that no matter how many technologie you steal.

Yet the Jedi's have all died out in a galaxy far far away a long long time ago :P

Seriously though ( if there is even such a thing as seriousness on the topic :P )
The Borg would assimilate the people on board the death-star, take it's technology and make it their own.
They would then go up against us capsuleers, assimilate us all, yet we just jump into a different clone and fight a never ending war, with the Borg numbers increasing in such a high rate that, before long all resources are dried out and we all die.

Conclusion, M.A.D ( Mutually Assured Destruction ).

But... Sansha's Nation could just reassimilate the freshly assimilated Borg, no?

Conclusion, a.e.c.o.a.a.r. (an endless cycle of assimilation and reassimilation) Lol

Now let's see..

Star Trek; would get annihilated because in the series it only takes like 3 or so photon torpedoes and the structure starts to buckle. However as someone mentioned, the Borg with their resists would be a tough one, though you would only need to doomsday their central hive mind, and good night borg!
As for Q.. he could in fact destroy everything by simply snapping his fingers, however he loves to play games, so total annihilation is rather unlikely. And Q isn't really "star trek" per say, he's just an entity, a god, with his own agenda not giving a damn about which side he's on.

In the end it would be between star wars and EVE. their fighters, are, well.. fighters. And them being able to field thousands upon thousands in a battle would make for some serious focused DPS. However the star wars universe doesn't seem to field Logi or active tanks, so chewing through the buffer would be easy.
Both universes have clones, however in New Eden, new clone replacements upon death is instantaneous, so a dedicated, never ending zerg rush would eventually triumph.

TL;DR
EVE wins!

A MINOR BUMP ON THE WAY!!!
I specifically stated sith too :P and anyway, count on disney they will have a happy end.

I am unable to comment on borgs, as im not that familiar with ST (ST sucks, SW rulez!)
How does that bold guy you call captain wins against them eventually?

The topic got slightly heated as it went on. But after reading it came down to star wars would get pwned and startreck vs new eden would be left. topics came up as..."borg can take over a capsuleers body." and "capsuleers have neverending clones until they get disrupted "

So i am curious as to what the rest of New Eden thinks on this topic?

Who would win in an EVE vs Star Wars vs Star Trek war?

Star Trek could only win if Captain Kirk can get in range to do the two handed karate chop. Picard of course was gay and would only negotiate. Thus Eve would win handily.

Measuring in dps or any technolgy is wrong. SW isnt about that, its about an individual who can impact the destiny of an entire world. We dont have individuals like that in eve, with powers that beyond technological advantage.
Remember any technology can be stolen / copied / reverse engeneerd...

Star Wars fighters seem to rely on extremely close range and are not very sturdy. Mandatory fit: one or two smart bombs

Making New Eden a better place 8 rounds of Void at a time.

Funny, smartest, pretty and relevant. Pick 3.
