Handshake error...

Hi,

Was just trying to login to Singularity, it says it's online with 19 players, however, I get a handshake error, and it says there's a server error?

Is anyone else able to login just now, or is it just me?

Same issue here. Been like this ever since downtime. CCP PLEASE fix this. I was having so much fun!

I think it was an intoxicated CCP employee that messed it up. Lulz....see thats why alcohol in the workplace doesntmix.Evil

Same, same, same,.... looks like all CCP techstuff goes to vacation in same time... =((

.. Or they aquaire those new EA guy and just to be able to pay him sallary drasticly drop down other emploees Big smile

Im getting the same error.

Well, first I tried this awesome new sisi launcher. Im probably just too stupid, but I cant figure out how to use it. I see absolutely no login field where I can put my username/pw, just some pretty pictures with Eve advertisement and links to the forums..
I even clicked your links. BTW the button for game client settings below launcher settings doesnt do anything

Its pointing to Tranquility, the new launcher that is, but Im also to stupid to point it to Sisi.


So I gave up on your new launcher that is apparantly as EFFED up as the previous sh..t you rolled out and started the client directly via a shortcut. At least this one points to SiSi

Im pissed off already and then a FF...CK..NG error window telling me that a HANDSHAKE Failed?

According to eve offline website, yeah right, we use 3rd party tools to look up if your servers are up or not, how you feel about that btw, apparently Sisi is online.

WHAT ABOUT YOU POST AN ERROR MESSAGE WITH SOME INFORMATION ABOUT WHY YOUR CR..P DOESNT WORK INSTEAD OF THIS HANDSHAKE Bull...t

First off, this is the test server, they test things (Releases, Launcher, Protocols, Ships, Skills, Dual-Training, etc...)

The test server shouldn't be your primary server. So what if it goes down? Do some work on TQ, SiSi isn't really meant to replace TQ for players, it's to allow some of us to test new things on release candidates and provide feedback or logs.

Simple as it is, Don't always expect SiSi to have a glorious 99.98% uptime. It's a Testing Server, and since Duality is currently being used for Alliance Tourny crap I wouldn't be surprised if it's being used for some in-house testing right now.

As about the post thing, yeah it would be nice to get a heads up from CCP about what's going on.



On another not, I'd like to see a fresh update and maybe a mirror. And ofc a shiny ship or two.

I realize its the test server. Im not complaining that its down.
I am saying it is ******** to give these kind of error messages instead of somethign useful. Such as:

The test server is currently closed and not accepting connections.

Something that states that the error is not on the users end

Just chiming in to say I have the handshake issue too.

I was planning on jump freighter practice. Just got the skills and need to practice on SiSi before I risk my boat on TQ . . .

CCP Explorer says that it will most likely not get fixed till the devs come to work on their Monday morning. At least we got a dev response.

Was via twitter however.

RELAX ONCE THE REGULARS GET IN THE BUILDING THEY WILL FIX IT. THIS MAY HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH MALT SCOTCH AND A CCP EMPLOYEE MUCKING SOMETHING UP BEFORE DOWNTIME. Umm hmm Im sure others can understand that its not a launcher issue due to the fact that well it launcherd 1. and 2 the fact that every time a game period has a "Handshake error" that it is obviously serverside...also im getting it as well and hope that when i wake up in about 6 hrs that i can test a fit out for my Napoc before i go buying everything for it!

P.S. Its not polite to type completly in caps because it deturs those from feeling informed rather it makes them feel like they are being yelled at so next time maybe be a little more polite just saying.
