Faction warfare killing in highsec..........How?

Hello there!

Recently I have joined Caldari Faction warfare (loving it so far). One question I have is a question about a Gallente faction warfare pilot and his tactics.

After looking through his killboard I was quick to realise that all he does is sit outside of jita (and a few jumps around) killing Caldari FW guys in Caldari space. Now how is this possible?

The guy im talking about is called Endeva Killboard here

I can only presume he uses lots of neutral logistics, but wouldnt they go suspect ? He must be taking the DPS from the police the entire time. And on Jita 4-4 station surely they would get blown up pretty quick. The thing that confuses me, is the faact some of his loses had no tank, which I found quite strange.

Is there some trick with logi & FW in highsec or something? I know that faction police only web right? Do they Neut also? Anyone have any idea how much DPS they do.

Just something i wanted to know so any insight would be appreciated. Smile

He can dock in hisec, and when he undocks he just needs to keep warping around to stay clear. He has an alt watching stations and when he see's an oportunity, he warps in, takes the shot, warps out.

But how does he kill the tanky stuff, protues, battleships, freighter? He would be there for a while killing them so must be taking dps from popo

Theres's a bug that occurs if you jump back and forth multiple times while in the same system the Faction Navy will slowboat to you instead of jumping to you.

You can also perma-tank the Faction Navy with a BS and a neutral booster. Some guy was camping Litiura (sp?) with an insta-lock Hurricane and Absolution boosts. The Absolution was on field right next to him too.

The Navy is pretty pathetic and you shouldn't depend on them for anything.

If I had to make a blind throw in the dark while upside down in water, I'd say 300 dps.

I've been told that Endeva uses neutral logistics to tank the police. The question I have is;

Can the Caldari pilot attack the neutral logistics? Does Faction police attack the neutral logistics?

Doesn't the neutral logi pilot become 'suspects' if they engage (i.e. rep) someone in a limited engagement?

If so this would make them attackable by any player but the npc's wouldn't engage. I suspect the caldari pilot may not be in a position to attack the nuet logi's and other players may not want to engage either for fear of a trap maybe vOv.

That is the Way, the Tao.

Balance is everything.

I contacted one of the people he killed last night. The guy said that he had 3-4 Logi with loki links. Also had neutrals bump him off gate.

1.0 sec navy police do a lot of dps (far more than low sec gate guns) and neut cap - with the webbing power from 4 of them, so a bump from a bored carebear can really **** up your day.

0.5 on the other hand is doable solo, watching out for those bumpabears who want to be involved in some pvp but not actually shoot anything or use any skill.

I don't think you get a suspect flag from being attacked by faction navy or from attacking a FW target. You're "allowed" to attack the later and the former is just NPC aggro. Given that, there's no reason for the logi ships to get flags as they're not boosting someone who is flagged.

Hmm but in an actual war (which should work just like FW wars) you do get suspect for repping someone who engages a war target. The plot thickens....

It's not concord, it's faction police which are two very different things. Firing on an opposing militia is not a concord-able offense, since opposing militias are always at war, it's like a perma-wardec.

My experience of faction warfare is that it is nothing more than a festival for AWOX corps, who play only to kill 'blue' players. Their corps simply have no consequences, they are not kicked from the faction or anything. Rubbish.

The entire FW system needs a GM/CSM playing the role of Admiral for each major race. NPC coding simply does not cut it.
