Can we turn off the new jump animation?

Just confirming that I actually do get headaches now from an hour or two of roaming. Never used to happen. I too used to enjoy my wonderful trips through the Hubble-like star-scapes.

FIX THIS NOW CCP unless you want all the players in real life to have nausea, and all the avatars in game to be bald.What?

CCP, there are off buttons for ship explosions, missile effects, turret effects, etc. "Immersion" does not seem to be harmed by those. So, [u]please[/u] give us a persisting off button for the jump gate and autoscan visuals.

I very much agree here! Ccp has over the years made ​​changes which I was also not particularly fond of. But it has been changes I could Adapt to. Gate animation is one we forced to experience and if my opportunity to Adapt is to look out the window, then it's time to take a break from EVE until the problem is resolved properly. For me "properly" = on / off option!

+1 to stop making the camera options reset. By that I mean, if I set it so selecting objects in space does NOT centre the camera on it, stop resetting that every time I make a jump.

One little tiny change would fix this "headache" issue.

So, 3 years from now? ;)

I tried his wrist-trix in his "sick" video at 2:33 to 2:41 Blink with no result so I'm sorry but I still need an on / off option ccp.

The new jump animation is too repetitive. It always looks exactly the same and to be honest it doesn't look that great to begin with. It's not very impressive. It may be cool the first 10 times, maybe even 20. But if you gotta see is 100s, 1000s of times, it will get on your nerves

it doesnt make me feel sick as such but my computer temp soars 15 degc and more when in jump and in warp too so much in fact that i worry about my computer shutting down. would keeping the map open during jump help in this respect?

I would like to an option to turn it off. i would definatly like to see the option to turn off the camera settings reverting after each jump it annoys me when i highlight a drone and my view is just spinning.

I have 2 clients, one has effects on the other has them off.
when I titan bridge them both, the effects on dude gets that tunnel, but the effects off dude jumps the old way, no stupid tunnel, just loads new system

so saying that it cant be turned off is a lie, your just being lazy ccp. add a off button

I posted earlier in this thread but that account is inactive, so I'll +1 this again with this account that's got just a few hours left on it.

Unlike the reversal from the Incarna debacle, it looks like CCP is going to stay the course on this one, so I'm done...

In 6 months we've gotten updates to sounds, exploration and bounties.

Where's the POS/Structures update?

Where is the MUCH needed ship rebalance?

Where is the MUCH needed ECM balance?


From what I can tell, they are using Eve Online as a test bed for that Eve VR stuff. Why else would they put first person camera swinging junk into a game that isn't first person based?

Anyway...Farewell everyone, on to better things!

Yeah, I've read all of your replies to the OP, the reply to my post seemed to be the most efficient one. The rest were long winded diatribes about your own preferences.

They haven't been particularly adroit in recognizing the problem the OP and many others have pointed out about the new animation. CCP even replied here and stated "it's not optimal".

So, when you use the /facepalm, its only efficient in action of derailing the thread.

Except, of course, that they have already stated that they are aware people are being affected and will address the issue... so your initial observation that "apparently CCP is going to stay the course" is completely false.

I guess you missed the POS revisions, and the explanation that this was step 1.
I have no idea what you are thinking concerning ship rebalancing, perhaps you've been in a coma.
Since it's highly debatable that an ECM balance is needed, this is a bit of a moot point.

I was being kind in keeping my reply to one word before, but so be it.
