What about introducing something that let people expose their advertising, instead of using cargo containers?
Just use "monitors" like the ones near the gates, move them near the stations and rent them for a week or so, maybe with an auction.

Sorry about my English.

It would be pretty cool.

Don't forget the monitors in the Captain's Quarters.

That sounds like a smart idea indeed.

You clearly don't live in areas where city managers allow anyone to advertise anything ANYWHERE. Entire neighborhoods go to sh!t quickly. I'd really rather not see some f'ing stupid pony advertising for goonies or whoever at every damn gate in game.

Alternatively, let people pay 50 billion ISK for an ad placement on a CONCORD billboard for a single 4 hour run.

Why not have CCP sell "Broadcast licenses". Broadcast custom video to the billboards and CQ's. Isk sink, spammers get a new tool to annoy you....

And where is my remote CCP? X

I would have thought there's enough **** advertising in the real world without trying to bring it in-game too.

Pay per view / pay-per-click game-wide advertisement for players for ISK and PLEX (recruiting, sales, scams, elections, etc.) - it was the first thing I thought about monitors in captain quarters. I'm sure it will be there - maybe even in this century.

I am from the Billboard industry in RL:

- 5-6 various Billboard structures could be added to the market w / blueprints as player-built and operated Media Assets.

- Billboards would be anchored in allotted space pre-designated by CCP. eg 1 sign+ per Gate in Systems with X number of stations. Jita, Dodixie and others would have specially allotted slots for construction of larger signs outside the station or at specific gates. (Bladerunner / Timesquare etc).

- Advertising could be handled in-game, with Players posting ads by interacting directly with a simple interface and inputting messages, paying an isk per day fee to the Media Asset industrialist or Corporation. A max of 4-6 static advertisements could be rotated in 5-6 second intervals, based on average dwell time of ships before entering stations or gates.

- Billboards could become contested passive income generators for Corps / Alliances - think Customs Offices but in High-Sec.

How about an option to switch off advertising. Mine would be set to off permanently.

Actually could do with switching off real life advertising, wouldn't that be great.

Belongs on the "big screens" in the Captain's Quarters and is yet another idea that CCP could use if "Walking In Stations" ever sees the light of day.

I'd be fine with it if it adds immersion to the universe.
