Tell me if I'm missing anything. This will not include reward per jumps or reward vs collateral.

1. Destination a locked POS
2. Impossible time for delivery constraints.
3. Route goes through lower sec than pickup and dear
4. Simply putting a crap item at high collateral ambushing the courier or otherwise forcing a fail for the collateral
5.

Fill in what I missed, I'm curious what all the contract loopholes are.

Sometimes people can't be around to accept deliveries. If I go to have a smoke and don't hear a pizza guy at the door, am I trying to scam them?

Ignoring the possibility of accidents while making contracts, which can easily happen, don't go trying to put off blame when you can't handle a job you accept.

Why do you think we want a specialist to transport it?

If my waiter tells me I'm an idiot to order a burger because they're a vegetarian, I'm not tipping them. Who are you to decide what I need, and how badly?

I don't see any scams here, just someone looking for scapegoats.

Well if your going to include that one, you should probably add the following:

5. Destination is earth
6. Package contains rainbows and moonbeams
7. Something else equally ludicrous

Aren't there big red-texted warnings and popup windows in place to address most of the circumstances you describe? I know there are warnings for private stations and low sec routes. CCP has already tried to make the system as "fool proof" as possible with UI improvements.

You can't set a contract with a delivery time under 24 hours. Nowhere in EVE takes that long to get to.

Being a freelance transporter just doesn't pay off. I'd suggest you find employment in Red Frog Logistics. They operate under a set of rules which customers respect if they want their good delivered.

Really people that do courier contracts are what I like to think of as useful idiots.

They do the most dangerous part of all of my market work - the only part that has the risk of 100% loss - and take 3-4% of the profits.

For this reason I post a lot of non-scam courier contracts and have stopped posting scam ones. I make more out of getting people to do work for me over and over than I would out of scamming these useful idiots once.

Technically you dont have to be with Red Frog Logistics to operate under their set of rules (sometimes a contract just smells fishy). It is just good to know what those rules and principles are (which are mentioned on their website) and just employ them yourself. I can tell you now though, I completely disagree with you on freelance transporting. It is profitable, you just have to know which contracts to accept and have some common sense while doing it, thats all really.

EXACTLY, but when you've got the T2 BEER GOGGLES on all kinds of things "seemed like a good idea at the time". Roll

The proof here is that there are still fools.
