this is a great event!

the grand prize winner gets their name engraved on a unique landmark. has it been considered that perhaps other pilots who complete all three batches are engraved en masse on some scrub-tier plaque as well? surely there won't be *that* many

It could still be hundred+ unless the third group really filters out people. I'm more curious about what the unique landmark will be? I can't see it really being something like: "In celebration of the winner of a lucky random draw". It might have nothing to do with the competition and the name is just used in a landmark related to something completely different, maybe.

I have two questions. First, is the Sanshas Wormhole in group 2 the static wh in a certain system labeled as 'Violent Wormhole' (which is the one that I and all others have taken a pic of), or are there wh's during Incursions and we needed to find one of those? Clarification would be nice in case everybody is doing it wrong. :-) But I've never done higher levels in Incursions so not sure.

Second, I set my imgur galleries for both groups to 'Vertical' as requested, but did you actually mean 'Blog' layout (which puts all the pics in descending VERTICAL order) or really mean the 'Vertical' setting (which is in fact not very vertical)?

Sorry if I'm being dense, just want to make sure I didn't screw up and need to redo the anything.

Week 2 was pretty fun, and I got some new wallpapers to boot. First dive into 0.0 for me!

I'd like to know this aswell :)

Vertical setting or blog (so it appears in vertical order)?

cheers :)

I hope you all are negligent with your clones, die to pirates, and get podded all the way across the galaxy from your precious shooting locations.

Are you aware that the aesthetic quality of the pictures is irrelevant for this contest? I run this on minimum graphics and while my pictures are not nearly as pretty as everyone else's, challenge and fun are the same and so are my chances of winning.

if the aesthetics don't matter the contest is irrelevant.

2. In the following pop up window, under “create album”, make sure to name it, and select “Vertical” as the album display type.
It`s only Part of the Imgur Guide not a Rule, or not?

A few asked this already but it isn't asnwered yet.
Will a shot of our pod be ok? The npc's got me a few times. I have the picture of my pod next to my wreck. But a clear answer would be nice thanks a lot. :)

Just now noticed the week 2, and i think i now really need to get my Buzzard to work. I guess it will be first return to Nullsec in many months for me. Heh, hope i didn't forget how to stay safe in there and will return intact.

How about a Decoration/Medal issued from The Sanctuary awarded to the pilots who complete all three groups? That way everyone can see the scouts who successfully snapped images for all three groups.

I know it is a medal I would be proud to display.

The landmark could reflect endurance, stamina, patience, tolerance, humility - the qualities it required to get to many of the sites. The final drawing is indeed random, chosen from a pool of contestants that did quite a lot to get into that pool.

(my opnion) It could be simply a small token, like real life explorers leave in the places they visit. Reaching destination is more important than "us" - we are small, insignificant, at least that is what the traveling and hardships, and beauty, sometimes convey to me. It would be almost unseemly or gouche to make a big deal about the marker. I mean really I've lost a few ships so far, to me a statue of a capsulleer sitting in a huddle of their wreck, cooking over a campfire with a smile on their face, would be about how I "feel." Lol

But I like the idea of everyone who finishes having some kind of lasting memento to show the accomplishment, like the medal idea someone mentioned. I would rather have that than the grand prize to be honest.

Have you tried looking on the forums here or looking at the "Sanctuary Image Contest" channel in game? The channel especially is the one to tell when the new list is updated.

The 3rd week is released.

Please note that because of difficulty concerns, we had to remove 1 of the final objectives, so there are only 9.

There contest rules state, that there will be 30 total images to take released in 3 groups of 10. The latest group only has 9 items though, so is there something missing?

See my above message about the lack of 10 objectives.

Steve is the name of the first player-owned Titan ever destroyed in EVE. There is currently a memorial site somewhere out there.

Anyone want to lend me 10 corpses? I just need a quick photo. I'll give them right back. I'm not like, sick, or anything...

Harm no one, except rats of course. They don't count. AUTZ

We are perfectly fine with people lending corpses to each other, by the way.
