I apologize if I ask some really silly questions, but I figured it cant hurt to ask. So here it goes...

I have been playing EVE for less than a week now. In fact, never heard of the game before a week ago, but since then I have fell in love with it. I recently have become very interested in Faction warfare. So questions I have:

Is faction warfare something a pilot as new as I am should even consider right now?
Should I have a certain amount of wealth stockpiled before I try to get into faction warfare?
How do I begin?
Is faction warfare something I can do solo? Or do I need to find a corporation that is into faction warfare to be successful?
I have heard that it is advisable to only join a specific faction during faction warfare for it to be profitable, is this true? If so, what faction is profitable right now?
By engaging in faction warfare will I essentially lock myself out of high sec space owned by the opposing factions?

Again, sorry for all the noob questions. Thank you in advance for the answers!

-FW is probably the best way for a new player to dip into PVP; mechanics that help you earn ISK, easy access to trade hubs, no security status penalties...

-Depends on what you want to fly. T1-fit t1 frigates are basically free. Regardless, FW plexing can earn you pretty good ISK.

-You could do it solo, but that would be rather boring and you would probably never learn anything. Like everything else in EVE you should probably be doing it with other people.

-The profit earned by plexing is determined by the faction's tier. This can change rapidly, though, and even at tier 1 you make pretty decent ISK via plexing (especially for a newbie).

-You can generally get through their space if you're not in a battleship as, depending on system sec status, the faction navy can be pretty slow to react. However don't plan on staying long or doing any interesting activities there.

First off, google is your friend and you can probably find most of the answers to your questions pretty easily tbh.

But I'm feeling chatting so here you go. Big smile

Yes you can start whenever. 1 week old? no probs
Wealth is not needed but it's helpful. FW is great as it allows you to fund your pvp pretty easily.
Join a FW or just sign up to the militia of choice.
FW can be solo or gang depends on how YOU want to play. Want to do small gang/fleet stuff join a corp that does that. Want to solo? stay in general militia or join a 'solo' corp (yes they do exist despite all the whiners claiming they don't anymore)
FW for profit depends on what 'teir' they are at. I would suggest you don't worry about that as it is easy to fund yourself at pretty much any teir really, pick a faction you like the sound/idea/concept of. Caldari is best closely followed by Amarr of course!
If you are in FW the enemy navy will try to kill you if you enter their high sec yes. But they are fat and slow and you can pretty much just run away from them. But yeah it stops you living there usually unless you really know what you are doing. And high sec is boring a anything anyways so don't bother going there! Lol

That is the Way, the Tao.

Balance is everything.

Actually google is a filthy filthy liar at the moment

If you look for eve newbie pvp guides you just get a ton of rifter guides that are massively out of date <.<

google still works, just takes a bit of effort or search skills. Just reading the last week or two weeks of posts in warfare & Tactics cover most questions.
