Those sueing for peace - I suggest meeting up somewhere to form a drum circle, stock up on some sooth sayer and exchange your progressive thoughts that all will be nice if we'd just learn to hold hands properly. I for one don't see how all the conflicts with the federation are magically solved by cleaning house.

I can agree to an extent that Heth was a necessary evil.

Your latter statement, however, seems a little bit misguided.

Diana... It's time. You've clung on to the man and now the memory of the man for long enough. Heth is stripped of his position and his citizenship. The CPD has been dismantled. The Provists are a fading echo - not one of them is in power.

The only people that support Heth now are the Templis Dragonaurs and we both know them of old. They are not citizens. They do not work for the State.

It's time to put down your silly girlish fantasies, Heiian the frak up, and get a REAL job in a proper Corporation. One of the Deksam, preferably. There are plenty of places where you can continue to fight for what is right in Black Rise and the adjoining territories. Here is your test, sent fresh from the Winds. Face it! Remain relevant!

For the first time since I started the conversation, he looks me dead in the eye. In his gaze are steel jackhammers, quiet vengeance, a hundred thousand orbital bombs frozen in still life.

Maybe you'd like to join him? Sealed together in a coffin, launched from orbit and heading to impending doom. How romantic, heh heh.

And maybe you would like to be launched from the orbit without coffin in just an EVA suit, but launched not towards the planet, but to the empty void of space! So we could all look at you floating away, waving hands to you! And do it in some Maker-forsaken system in lawless space, so your suffocated and frozen body won't be found in the next thousand of years !

I work for the real corporation, Tuulinen-haan. Maybe the more relevant corporation, than all other corporations in the State. Maybe even more relevant, than the Navy itself, who prefer to sit their fat asses in barracks. Because we are at war, and I am fighting in this war.

Fighting for my corporation, fighting for my State, fighting for all of our citizens, including you, and even CEP.
We are the real fighting force of the State, we are the shield for our people, we are the expendables, that the State willing to throw at our enemies, and we protect our citizens from gallentean threat.

Everyone should do their job, Tuulinen-haan. And this is my job, to fight and die instead of others. Not to sit somewhere in cozy space with Navy personnel, not in some Megacorp police force, chasing scaredy pirates, not in some factory or scientific institution, but here, on the frontlines, on the first and most important line of defense for the State against enemies.

This is my job. This is what I have been taught. And this is what I have been prepared for. This is my duty. And this is my destiny.

Honored are the dead, for their legacy guides us.

Pieter-kirjuun... It's time for you, as well. We both know where concern for this one leads. Let her go. If she wishes to cling to these delusions, let her. You've done all you can... More than you were expected to. More than anyone could have asked of you, and you paid a price for it that should never have been paid. She's refused all efforts, betrayed you, and accused you of being a traitor after the fact... Let her go. It's not worth the effort.

Tell that to the Caldari patriots who were there that day, attempting to protect the civilians who were merely exercising their right to peaceful protest.
Tell that to the families of those civilians, who were attacked and killed, by Home Guard forces on the orders of Tibus Heth.

Always for the good of the citizens indeed.

Anyway, I offer the people of the state my best hopes for a painless transition from this dark period of their history. May this soon lead to some form of peace.

Phox, No. The protectorate falls under the umbrella of the State Navy. The Provists were CPD, a corporate entity Heth created that appears to have had the single directive to keep him in power at all costs.

So, are we Gallente yet?

Also, why to stop @ disbanding CPD, why not to disband all corporations and embrace frogeaters' democracy, it's so nice and shiny and TRUE and HONEST political system, as we had a dubious pleasure to witness.

What has dissolving a position created by the CEP got to do with becoming a democracy or even Gallente? From an outsider's perspective, the CEP created a position, the position was abused, and the CEP took steps to address the situation. There were no forums, no debates, no referendums, or lobbies. They did not consult the people of the State, they acted in a manner they thought was best for the State.

You should be pleased at the swiftness and decisiveness afford to your government in acting against a problem within. We typically have to wait every four years to fix our problems.

Then again, your tone does imply sympathy, if not support, for a man your State has labeled a traitor and a terrorist.

I wouldn't bother trying to explain it to him Steffanie, He's new.
Probably didn't pay much attention to state-wide news and rules before becoming a capsuleer, and from his statement doesn't seem to realise that the executor position and CPD didn't even exist until a little over 5 years ago.

Now what would a Gallentean nderstand about the State?... this is truly ridiculous.

Like they , from CEP, were acting in interests of the State.
They were acting only in self interests, i.e. they acted to save their warm places on gold thrones.
The only one, who was acting in the best interest of the State as a whole, in the interest of common workers in all parts of the State, was Tibus Heth. But his reforms would put them down from their thrones, and they acted.
And, unfortunately, now we are ruled by them and have to follow their orders.
But, despite the State is submerging into the darkness and degradation, what we have is still not as low and degraded as gallentean society. We are still way far away from filthy democracy. And we can hope, that interests of these CEOs in the CEP will coincide with interests of the State as a whole. At least in some parts.
And, of course, there is still a chance that Tibus Heth-haan will be reinstated, and we could finish uniting our people and establishing the United State of Real Meritocracy.

But for now, we have to protect what we have and give gallentean filth proper beating.
For the State!

Darkness and degradation of the Gallente society, Ms. Kim? Don't you mean decadence and deliciousness? Heh heh. If you ask me, I'd still like to see an alternative outcome to all this as it's such a waste.. Hadn't you guys left us 200 years ago, we might've achieved some grand things together. Like mopping up the floor with certain zealots and tribals. Just kidding!
