So, I have been gone about a year and my old corp is back in 0.0. I am going to give FW an exrended try this time.

Over the last few days, I have moved in some ships, gotten my plexing legs back under me, gotten a promotion and killed and been killed.

I have a question about comms. Is there a group vent, or do people actually use EVE Voice now? Or are the voice comms still corp specific? I know there is always a worry about spies. I was in a larger fight last night, but was just kinda following my militia mates. I had no idea what was going on and and it turns out I jumped into a big battle with an AB fit plexing ship. Needless to say, I was pretty fail.

Also, I just have mostly small ships and a few BC moved in. Do people use BS with any regularity in FW? I need to know whether I should restock. It seems all of mine are in Geminate in stations now owned by the Russians...

You need to find a player corp if you plan on being in FW for an extended period of time. This is due to spies for the most part. Look on your militia’s kb to see who some of the top dogs are, they will get you going from there. Some fleets use eve voice, but many have alternatives (TS3, mumble, vent).

BS’s come up, but nearly only in fleet fights and even then not too often. Null sec proliferation in fw lowsec has caused BS’s to be SC – bait (which have been buffed since you left). The fotm is very dependent on which conflict zone you are in, amarr/matar are much more small ship orientated while the gal/cal have been larger boats/fleets for some time. However, this is changing from what I can tell. Even more so the scenery is going to be drastically different after the winter expansion (fw specific changes or not). I would buy a few to get you buy. Don’t go gung hoe on stocking up until after winter has arrived.
