I still miss themed login screens.

On the flip side, I didn't get a single patch destroying my game since it was launched.

Mine still doesnt work. It crashes so i have to use exe file. Which is great

It's a launcher. It launches. That's the problem. I used to log in into the game itself with a single step, now I'm bothered with a waiting room.

That, and the funny fact that I totally missed the Odyssey feedback survey as rather than be sent along with the Newsletter, it's been publicized as a part of the cluttered mess that bothers me between press EVE icon->Play the game. I totally was ignoring it along with the rest of the stuff in the waiting room. Ugh


(I know that launchers are industry standard. 640 kb of memory also were Industry Standard (capitalized) for years. I surely would like to see the degree of the guy who figured that customers who want to use a piece of software, actually want to be kept waiting by another piece of software instead)

Because it's a very brittle piece of software. My launcher flagged EVE as not an valid app after having run the first time… Lol

What for? There are entire topics about the launcher not working and to use the exe workaround.

Not to mention id rather not wait on a program to load so i can load the game.

Ive lost easily 10hrs updating, uninstalling, repairing the game trying to get launcher to work. Then searching on the web for workarounds. Finally i have the exe option so gave up the fight with the launcher. The other day i read if u reset the settings on the launcher it would work. So quickly before it crashed i did that. It worked that one time i did it. But next time i started the game the launcher crashed again. So im done.

Now ur a dev. If u think ur co workers arent aware theres a problem u have my permission to make an announcement at ur next staff meeting.

I'll jump on the "how do you people get so many problems?" bandwagon. Seriously though. How? Are you the guys still hanging onto windows XP SP 1 or something? Because up to date hw/sw are for casuals.

As a Mac user, this is my first day of seeing this notorious launcher. The only problem I have with it is that I now have to quit the game entirely when switching between characters. I have two accounts and multiple characters on each, and it might make sense to have to quit the game to switch accounts. But it makes no sense at all to have to quit to change to a different character on the same account.

Protip: Queue uninstalls and installs before you leave your machine. Then you don't lose any time.

Much better than sitting there staring at a progress bar for 10 hours.

I believe that process is on the short list for incorporating, most likely in a way that is more powerful than before. However I haven't seen any ETA for the next series of enhancements.

Eventually the launcher should be able to do much, much more than the old log in screen/method was capable of... however in the meantime it does seem limited in comparison.
