Could you describe the method you currently use to launch an extra client?

If you use the clone maker tool it will still work with the new launcher but it will stop working at some point in the future when the old log-in method is no longer available.

You replied to a thread about accessing Duality, but you're saying you have the same problem with accessing Singularity? What are you using to access Singularity?

O.k., Yes I replied to a thread about duality, Originally I was a bit drunk and they where the only people having the same problem as me. Now I had already run the mac launcher tool in the first place to get on to Sisi, it was after that during a Sis update that things stopped working. but fine, I just ran it again and now my Sisi client will only see TQ.

At least the good news today is I can log into TQ on the clients that I'm supposes to use, so now all that's still broken is my Sisi copy. Although I've got a great feeling that the solution is going to be to just start all over and download another one Roll

The launcher does not seem to remember user names. That is the pull down menu has no names in it even after Ive used the launcher a few times. Known bug?

Er... I do not see that setting. I looked in all the settings under the gear icon. Where is that one?

In any case, it does close after I get logged in. Also I can open the launcher a second time and log in a second account. But the user name is not remembered for either.

I did check activity monitor to make sure there were no extra launchers running in a zombie state.

Similar issue for me - my username is not recorded & I have to re-type each time I log in. Also I cannot find a simple way to switch characters? Before hitting esc in game would give me the option to log off as well as 'quit game'. Using log off would put me back to the launcher & I could quickly log in. Now I can only quit completely and then re-start. Am I missing a setting?

Awesome! All my user names are gone. I didn't want all those accounts anyways. Gotta love the useless features.

Same as above... launcher does not remember my user names (neither do I at this point, but normally I can trust my computer to do that for me), and I have to quit completely out of the app to login a different character instead of just logging out from the escape menu.

I also have this problem that the launcher does not save any account names and i have to type them in each time.

Also i cannot see any option for to close the launcher in the settings boxes, i will state however that some of the text in the launcher settings is missing at the end, example being in the cache options the text says at the end -

"care should be" im guessing taken is missing.

and the launcher settings window is not re-sizeable, im thinking this option may also be cut off and there but unseen on our launchers as there is obviously more text here that i cannot see as every sentence is cut short in each tab of the launcher settings windows.

ha, in the EVE downtime i entered my account details and as eve was offline still i closed my launcher after entering the details, but without logging in.

its now saved my details hahaha.

Why cannot we go back to the old trouble free launcher whilst you do what should have been done in the first place and debug the new awful launcher?

The first one I can confirm. But, CCP, you added a fifth tab to to the settings dialog box. The result is the text in the tabs is all truncated. "Startup" displays as "Sta...." and so on.
In addition, when I try to cut and paste using command-V I still get the system alert sound and no pasting. Yes, right clicking and selecting paste works.

Cut and paste via the keyboard never worked, and I've not been able to put in a fix for it. Enabling the right click menu was the easier and quicker alternative to at least allow people the option to paste. As for the truncating, I'll look into it.
