Anyone with this bug care to try these procedures?

Some days ago I got some problems while booting my computter and I had to erase this memory using this process. Nothing changed as today I'm still having the bug.

Maybe someone else can try also, this proces only resets some internal memory and nothing really happens to your computter, so you loose nothing trying.

BTW, no responses from CCP?

problem still there... lots of people affected... support tickets get closed after like 20 days without any help at all... no communication... no appoligies....

CCP = worst customer support ever. I don't expect a magic solution. I understand some problems might be tricky to reproduce and fix. But it is no excuse for the horrible communication shown by CCP.

Weirdest thing just happend: The problem fixed itself in game.. No idea how though Ugh I remember: docking at Jita, cmd tabbing a ton, jumping towards Osmon, searching for some systems on the way, saw a few signatures, released the probes and boom...

Update: The bug appears sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. It seems like every time a launch the game and go straight to exploration the bug shows up. But when I've been playing for a while and then i hop in to my scanning ship it works. This might be a complete coincidence though.

Also, when I have the bug, and I click scan, sometimes the probe spheres flicker on for a second.

I have received a reply from a GM that they are aware of the issue, and asked people to go through bug reporting it to help them out.

The problem persists today. This evening was working right, this night the bug was there again. Tried the next with no results:

- Log into the game into a station (with a combat ship active)
- Pick up my exploration ship and undock
- Jump to the next system to find some anomalies
- Launch proves, don't work
- Return to home system, pick up a lvl 1 quest and activate the combat ship
- Jump to the quest system and complete it, return to station
- Pick up exploration ship and go back to the system with anomalies
- Launch drones, bug present
- Go to bed

No clue how why this bug is intermitent yet.

Bug... again... I want to cry.

I can't find any solution and no way to find WHY it happens only sometimes. Changed ships, fitting, procedures to log in, log out, undock several times... nothing.

Maybe it will be solved witht the changes comming the 10th July. I don't even dare to dream...

Hello. I have been having this problem for some time and wasn't aware of this forum discussion until now. I wasn't getting anywhere with the bug report/petition, so they pointed me to this discussion.

My probes started showing up for the first time in a couple weeks yesterday when i was probing and messing with my graphics settings. After reading these posts, i'm wondering if it was just random chance, as this appears to be randomly intermittent.

But anyways here is what i was doing when they started working again, in case it's meaningful:

A complete Uninstall/reinstall did not fix it, but that was something i did along the way. I think it was due to either changing all my video settings or actually scanning down a site all the way by blindly clicking around to locate a sphere's edge and resizing. Resizing the probes from the list instead of the globe edges seems to just resize them and not reposition them proportionately. After scanning down a site blindly like this, and arriving at the site, i changed my video settings to 'optimized for performance', then i set all settings to Low or Medium, then i did a reset of all video settings. The next time i went to scan, i could see the globes...

Hope this helps.

First of all, let me apologize in the lack of communication. Second, a fix is on its way to you.

I'll explain a little bit so you know why it took while to come to the fix.
First, thanks for the bug reports and information on the forum. Without them we would have been much more lost. The issue in question is related to a driver issue on OSX 10.8.x for NVIDIA cards (only 9400/9600 series as far as we could tell).

Our Mac development partner over at TransGaming has helped identify the issue, and will be integrating a fix into EVE to workaround this driver issue after it has gone through the usual QA process.

As for when this fix will be released onto Tranquility I do not yet know. But I will post back in this thread to let you know, as soon as I know.

Thanks!

Thanks for working on this. But this entire affair reminds me of a old joke.

A man goes to the doctor and hold up his arm. "Doctor it hurts whenever I do this". "Well then don't do that".

CCP to players "It is hard to fix bugs and takes a long time because we need to use cider to get eve to run on a Mac". 'Well then make eve run on a Mac without cider".

Thanks for the updating Paradox.

I don't know if it will be of use, but the bug persist after the patch of the 10th July.

To Psylens, I'm going to try changing ghaprhs as you say, lets se if I can reproduce the procedure.

This is so ridiculous I am at a loss for words. I have had the same problem (no blue spheres showing). I had it resolved and then come back twice now. I am not sure what is happening but the people over at EVE HQ better get their S$%# together before they lose players. What are we paying for exactly? A buggy/totally inconsistent game? Great. No really, take your time fixing this. It's been about a month now. With no compensation. What a joke.

Finally an update... was that so hard? You could have posted an update once a week or at least post an official news message instead of just letting us wait without any form of information. Anyway I hope the patch will work.
