I think this is the first 'dying' thread that might have something to it. As a PC player i have to say the articles i have read hint to a not so bright future. A quick fix could be letting PC players into it. I am even pretty sure that it will happen a few months before they pull the plug on it.

We all know this, but CCP keeps on hiring cheap marketing gimmicks and VPs from the worst company ever! To try and save a failing game!

Anyone else waiting for Destiny?

we don't even have 5 000 players online and yet people complain about bad matchmaking.
no doubt the match making is bad
there is barely enough people to be able to join games that don't lag too much.

Yep me too. I'll bet if it were on PC there'd be at least double the numbers they have now.

It's indeed a 'thing'; I'll go get a few extra hands so we can help you remove your foot from your mouth.

Apparently being content to releasing a mediocre incomplete product isn't a great way to attracting masses of casual players in a heavily competitive gaming genre. Who knew.

it should have been an actual part of EVE instead of a separated game.

Dust is dying slowly since it's official "Release" which has gone rather quiet and unnnoticed. There was hardly any advertisement for it on the playstation network, which does not matter much, as the product itself is far from being complete. Now I know that EVE itself had a rough start as well, but hardly any competition. Dust however has to be ready to be compared to some high quality, high budget shooters, and as much as I enjoy taking my dust bunny for a walk, the gameplay has some serious issues (Lag, horrible controlls, aiming issues, rather messed up KB/M Input, Balance issues), lots of stuff is still missing ( like racial weapons/vehicles), the link to EVE itself is still barely noticeable and if I wouldn't have a connection to the EVE Universe I would have dismissed it long ago. It is the promises and the hope for better times, that keeps most of the remaining Player base playing I guess.

Nope. Dust GD is livelier than EVE's - in fact it'll probably break the 30k mark tonight or early tomorrow morning.

And Dust on the PC is bad idea and you should feel bad for thinking otherwise - not as bad an idea as launching Dust with the almost unplayable Uprising 1.0 (which basically drove away everyone who tried it) instead of the actually pretty damn good 1.2 (seriously, what a difference a couple of months can make) - but still a bad idea.

Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

Sometimes when I post, I look at my sig and wish that I'd follow my own god damned advice.

Considering the amount of money they syphoned off of EvE to create that PS3 trainwreck, I think this is the appropriate forum...

Stated as if it's somehow not standard practice for companies to use profits from one project to fund others.

Hint: This is why game companies exist.
