Don't let Mission Runners 'Decline' Low-Security Missions.

I'm reminded of a lowsec mission I took from a highsec agent years ago.

No problem really.

Except for my battle cruiser being camped at the station by someone with a Nyx.

I was able to beat him: I didn't give him a target and used an alt for a rapid warp-off point.

Still a bother though.

A Nyx. To kill a BC. Killboards must be like a bad drug to some people. Bad drug as in Meth. The tweaker on that stuff feels like he's on top of the world, but to other (looking at the killboard) we see a dirty loser with rotten teeth (that would be a long KB full of rookie ships and frigs and pods - yeah real leet there buddy).

Hmmm... if this is indeed an exploit, shouldn't this thread be reported for blatantly telling players how to exploit?

How is declining a mission an exploit? Sounds more like your whining about not being able to hold your own in low-sec and you want more jucier inexperienced targets.

This forum really needs to institute 24 hour to 1 week bans for varying degrees of idiocy. OP would be gone for a month.

Oh shut up. Honestly, lowsec nubs are in fact the feces of EVE. Every1 who happens to be better than you is either in null or wormhole space. If your that ballsy, come on out to null/WH space to do you roams.

OK so mission runners decline missions. Hint: doing that repeatedly tanks your standings and your only real option here is to let the offer expire which takes time. Hardly farmable content.

OK so people camp lowsec gates and they are pretty good at it. It doesn't take too long to train up for it, even.

I'm having serious issues defining the actual problem here really.

I heard about this exploit and it almost made me vomit.

The current mission system allows exploiters to base out in a 0.5 system to maximize their mission rewards
(the rewards are increased due to the risk of getting low-sec missions)

And the OP doesn't list the consequence for declining such missions, a big minus to standings. Which is one of the reasons to run missions in the first place. Roll

0/10.

Although once your faction standing is above 6 or so, the penalty for declining missions is laughable.

That said: I disagree with the premise of the OP.

Constellations with a .5 system and no LS say you're wrong.

Way back when I was doing lvl 4's near lowsec I regularly declined missions into lowsec.

My nether regions got all tingly when I was using this exploit.

Ban me, plz. Bear

Gee, how about the much better "exploit" of running missions in a 0.5 system that doesn't even have any lowsec nearby?

YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!!!

Oh...

Oh god..

Does this game get ANY easier?

Why bother having people run missions just hand out ISK...

I am ... I am... no longer playing this game.

but to be fair neither is anyone else... they just hand people things on a silver platter, what ever happened to EVE IS HARD?

At this point even WoW seems more difficult.

If you almost Vomit over mission runners, FW and moon goo could make you vomit and crap your pants at the same time.

That might have been all the rage in highsec ISK-making goodness like 4-5 years ago (and the practice had a mild resurgence when all agents got their quality equalized), but nowadays, that's pretty low on the highsec ISK payday scale.
Bottom line, if you feel happy in your pants about the ISK income difference of L4 missions in a 0.5 vs a 0.9 system, then you're most likely highsec small potatoes. Think orders of magnitude better income, not a few percents higher.

P.S. Oh, yes, the moongoo. At least it's not in highsec. But even after the nerfing sessions it's still pretty much a facepalm moment. And I won't even get into the FW machinations I've seen described.

Great. I live in LS (well, or NPC Null, depending on deployment). Contract to RubyPorto, thankyouverymuch.
