Yeah is was half way between Incarna and Crucible iirc.

Because Incarna pissed a lot of people off by removing the ship sinner completely and giving us only CQ or the "door".

EvE has ships?

EvE is supposed to suck.  Wait . . . what was the question?

No. Due to a couple of odd gaps in the definitions and some quirks of the vehicle registration laws, they're all actually classified as mobility scooters.

I always thought they put that in as a bit of a dig at the community in a sort of "oh, you miss this useless activity that much? ok, here's a counter so you can see how many times you have done this, knock yourselves out" kinda way.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

This. At some point the hanger was a static image, i.e. ship spinning was disabled due to some incarna related issue.

There was nerd rage, so the Deva, in their infinite humor, added the spin counter in a fit of pique.

Not entirely wrong but not entirely correct either. They completely removed the hanger and made it so you HAD to load up into CQ. If you chose not to load CQ in the settings then they gave you :shudder: the door. In the words of many: There is no reason to fix something that isn't broken. After CCP heard the cries of despair they gave us the old hanger back and added the ship spin counter. /end of history lesson

Soup

Edit: I just wanted to clarify that it was not just some "incarna related issue" they removed a feature(damn right ship spinning is a feature) from the game. It was more than just an issue at the time lol

Incarnia was horrible, especially the removal of ship spinning. The CQ that replaced it. Lets not talk about it ok, those were some dark days Cry

…also, technically, after Incarna, it's not really ship spinning so much as camera orbiting.
