Making money in low sec is easy. You can make a lot more money in lowsec than in hisec.

1) Ratting for the new clone tags. They are rare and you are lucky to find one every 30 minutes, but they sell for between 10-30 million each. You have to kill all the rats in every belt in each system and keep cycling round systems till you find the clone soldier rats.

2) Plexes! Even at T1 offensive plexing gets you over 8 million ISk worth of LP every 15-20 minutes.

3) Low sec agent missions. They payout more LP than hisec.

4) Low sec faction warfare missions

I would much rather discuss this in our own forums, but oh... can't have anything. Ask in alliance chat. MURIE will gladly help you with basic frig / dessy hulls and stuff.

For the time being, you should only fly what you afford to lose. I know firetails are cool and all, but t1 frigate hulls are also pretty awesome.

^^This.

First port of call should be the corp/alliance you are already in as they will generally have the best experience with your current playstyle/skills and will be able to help the most.

If your corp/alliance can't/won't help then it is probably time to look for a new corp/allaince.

That is the Way, the Tao.

Balance is everything.

I'm much better off than I have been, started learning the low sec cash deal. I started belt farming, saving LP's and turning into SFI to sell. I even have one extra if i want to fly it :D. I also have a hauler alt now.

Agreed on all points. I wanted to teach myself though, because traditional in games I farmed a ton of materials on my own It's just extremely different in Faction warfare EVE.

2) as for making isk. Low-sec is FULL of easy isk that is not specifically tied to FW. There are many ways to make really easy ISK in low-sec, including (a) PI probably 15 odd mil a day for virtually zero effort (b) mining (ca. 25mil/hour in better sites) (c) running plexes a steady 80mil per hour with drops up to about 750mil in one go if you get lucky (d) trying the new data sites (e) ninja-ratting inside wormholes (pays ca 150mil per hour in C3's if you have the right ships and these days even mining ice could be well worth giving a whirl if your corp lives in a handy location.

I'm curious about this, myself. Plexing has been my only method for making ISK, but it's unreliable as a money-maker and needs to be done in the off-hours, since Black Rise is pretty dense. How exactly would you set up PI to make that much ISK a day? Something passive sounds appealing to me, and please, explain it to me like I've never played with any of the Tyrannis content before. Because I haven't. Hell, explain it like I don't even know what a planet is.

"running plexes a steady 80mil per hour with drops up to about 750mil in one go if you get lucky"

What level of deadspace plexes? That sounds great.

In February, i had a bout of depression, and took a 3 month break from the game. i gave away nearly all my assets and cash.

I have made about 2 billion in 3 weeks (while working away for 2 of those weeks) via scanning for wormholes to nullsec from the Essin constellation (it seems to get them a lot) and blowing up rats. I then use those profits to trade, and make money while logged out. This has sorted my sec status somewhat, and my wallet.

Therefore, you can do the same, with a heron, some probes, and a ship with about 350 DPS. You can even load your hold with wads of ammo and stay in nullsec and suicide yourself home after you run out of ammo. (or, you know, take an Amarr ship and never run out).

Regarding those sec tags: there is no need to move through various systems. Just keep ratting, eventually you will run into Clone rats with good bounties. These are guaranteed to drop a tag. There is also a simple fix using anomalies and a well tanked Battlecruiser (it should be able to kill rat BS while tanking a couple of them):

1. Rat out an anomaly untill a BS wave appears. Kill everything that is not a BS.
2. Warp out to pos / station / safe. Wait for your sec stat tic. Rat belts or something.
3. Warp into anomaly and kill 1 BS. Wait for your sec stat tic. Rat belts or something.
4. Repeat 2-3 untill you run out of BS or finish the anomaly completely.

When you encounter a BS in a belt in between, sit out the sec stat tick you get after it before resuming work on the anomaly.

Orbit small offensevie plex in a t1 frigate. Collect the LP, find a good Lp /ISK conversion, sell it and count your isk.

Also stop flying fire tails. They are bad, and if you think 15mil is a lot of isk........ you need to stop flying faction.
