I love this idea!!!

especially if it could be worked in to the video feed in the captains quarters! I love sitting on that couch while i update my sell/buy orders and check my planetary interaction stuffs, would love to have actual in-game news about the game to listen to in the background :)


Now that's a sweet idea. Kinda like the news reports in Mass Effect. I like it.

I love this idea as a whole. Thanks for implementing this post CCP. Much easier to keep up with things now.

I very much appreciate the time taken to put this together, and it's a really, really good idea to stick it into the news feed of the launcher. I would not have seen it otherwise. ♥

Very impressed. I currently rely on the launcher sidebar and the character selection screen with an occasional pass through GD and the IP to keep informed. With ISD's moving posts around, the forums have grown to an extent that its not as easy to keep up with so many posts across so many boards. There's useful information all over the place.

Assuming they continue, I will rely on these. Thanks.

Thank you everyone for all the positive and encouraging replies. If we weren't already determined to continue the weekly overviews of official news around EVE Online, we certainly would be by now. Smile

We also saw many good suggestions how to improve and expand those summaries. Some of the suggestions might be easier to implement than others, but we will consider all your feedback and ideas.

I just want to know if any of the dev blogs that you've put out recently are gathering the responses you want, as they all seem to be negative about the changes you have introduced into the game.

There are many threads that CCP seems to have abandoned because of negative responses, abandoned only after CCP devs take up the first page with congratulatory hi-fives and whatnot before the players move in and tell you exactly how you've completely screwed the pooch.

Any word on when you will ever take SIsi feedback seriously?

Its not possible to please all the people all the time, but it sure as hell is possible to Displease all the people, most of the time.

I did have one question, though... are you going to be editing the OP each week, or making a "News Broadcast" post within the thread instead? I assume the OP, but wanted to make sure!

Yes! This! More of this! Just found and commented on something I would otherwise have missed had I not seen the link to this summary in the Launcher.

Well, in THAT case... *breaks out the Jack Daniels and cookies and whatever that one Icelandic desert is that Chribba's always going nuts about, and puts them on Phantom's desk every morning for the next year!*

This is a great idea, really like it. However I supposed that it might be hard to keep such pace.
