reason: revenant is a part of expansion. The next expansion can bring new super-duper mothership which will be built, used and destroyed. It's nothing really new and exciting about it i guess.

The First Titan is another story: it was really the first destroyed titan in the whole game.

This was the first Revenant destroyed in game. Now only two exist in game. Its a very Revenant thing that happened. It should get its own wreck.

The KM only shows the market value. My understanding is the ship was purchased for around 330B. Its gonna be awhile before we see another one lost. Lets make it a tourist attraction and Black Legion can sell tickets to come see it

Before I saw this on #tweetfleet, I didn't even know such a ship existed, let alone that someone would be stupid enough to actually fly one, or have sequestered enough Corp ISK to be able to afford one.

Eve constantly amazes me.

Converting the isk value with the $34.99 price tag of two PLEX values this loss at a little over $11,000 USD Shocked

Yikes. Eleven grand?

Yeah, this is going on my facebook, right next to a fresh set of buddy invites. Talk about your game publicity. "You too can lose $11,000 in EVE Online!"

"Verily, I have often laughed at the weaklings who thought themselves good because they had no claws."

One of ours, ten of theirs.

Best Meltdown Ever.

I think "You can destroy something worth 11,000 USD without getting arrested" sounds better Cool

I think this is definately worthy of becoming a celestial wreck like the first titan loss in the game.

Highly, very highly unlikely. As likely as a higher mining yield ship than the Hulk.

a bit pathetic. I thinks it's about on par with the rest of the supers so around 3-4km.

The Revenant is around 5500 m long compared to the 13 km Avatar.

Anyway, the Revenant is a Carrier. Not even the same class as a Titan, so what's the big deal ?

You may want to check with Chribba about that......................

Does it need to be a big deal? It's the first of it's kind to be destroyed which means in EVE history it's a marker. So if people want to have a monument to that event I certainly won't mind, after all EVE is such a big place 1 monument here and there isn't going to ruin the game. Plus might even give a reason for someone to visit there.

Oops. You missed my point.

The Revenant is not a pathetic ship, but you say that when comparing it to a Titan...which is sort of an 'of course'. But it's not a 'bad' ship.

Ok, but why compare it to a Titan, it's made EVE history without the comparison.
