Hi. I have a good mate in another country, and I think he'd love Eve, but he has a mac. This forum seems to be full of problems. I don't want to recommend Eve to him if he's going to not be able to run it. He's got a high end mac I believe.

So is Eve on the mac ok?

And is there some way I can gift him a sub or something?

For the vast majority of players, eve works fine on a Mac. Yes there is the occasional glitch, but look at the "issues" forum and you will see the PC folks have just as many.

As for a gift, normally there is some sort of "buddy" program going. Basically you give him his first month of play time (via money or PLEX) and you get a month for yourself. Check account management.

It should work fine unless he has a dinosaur. I was able to run 2 clients on low settings with only the normal bugs on my '06 iMac. And yes Mac has its issues but its mostly just extra performance requirements. And remember he can always do the two week trial to see if he is ok with performance and like EVE
