Issue Resolved: Payloads were not the correct size

I am attempting to use the offline installer. I have downloaded the two payload files, which are 2,097,777 kb and 2,097,154 kb, respectively. When I attempt to run the installer executable, (564012), I am able to select a destination, and it attempts to install, but fails and says "Archive Extraction Failed: 3".

The payloads and installer executable are in the same folder. I've tried installing to a sub-folder within the tree containing the payloads, and I have tried installing to a folder located in a completely separate location.

I don't know if it matters, but I am running the installation, and have the installation files located in, a different partition than my windows installation. The file system is NTFS, so I think I have the full payload files, IE no conflicts with downloading due to file size.

I hope you brought enough ammunition.

Simple things first, you have enough free space on your C/D drive? NTFS can handle very large files, it would be a problem if you were running FAT, but installing EVE wouldn't be your first concern :)

If your C drive space is 3GB or less, then I suggest looking into to changing your windows profile location in Windows to a drive with more space (likely your D: drive) Google is a good place to search on how to do this. Other games do this aswell.

Even though you install EVE to your D drive it still takes up some space on your c Drive (in your profile location).

I've also heard people having trouble installing while running spybot and other anti virus/malware programs.

10 gb free on C. 50 free on D, the partition containing the install files and the destination of the install itself. Tried again with antivirus off, got the same error.

I hope you brought enough ammunition.

Can you please explain how you resolved this? I would like to know :)

had someone else with a stronger internet connection download the files for me. Apparently, even though my browser had said the download was complete, I didn't get the full file when downloading the payloads.

I hope you brought enough ammunition.
