Slow(er) jumps between systems in large fleets since Odyssey?

Before Odyssey, the Mac client occasionally locked up (or black-screened) when jumping between systems in large fleets. Now, it seems more reliable in that regard, but it is much slower than on Windows (note: I'm not talking TiDi here).
There seem to be a few phases to the system transition:

  1. Initiation phase (zoom into star gate, tunnel appearing)
  2. Tunnel phase 1, animated smoothly
  3. Tunnel hand-over phase (lots of stuttering, long (5+ seconds) pauses, Activity Monitor => sample shows a call-stack that mostly consists of many wine_private* stuff or CriticalSection calls)
  4. Entering target system phase (plays animation back at higher speed, everything that was held up by the delays in 3) starts to catch up).

Something seems wrong with Phase 3. The Windows client is much faster under these conditions, and with the Mac client I occasionally miss fleet-warps that occur in the target system because Phase 3 takes so long.

Has anyone else noticed this? My system specs are fairly good (2010 27" iMac w/ i7, 16GB Ram), so I don't think the hardware is at fault.

I have the same computer and notice the same issues.

Loading still takes an absolute eternity, but I've found if you wait until the very end - when it's just you and a few others on gate and local is emptying to its last page - and THEN jump, you'll get a more normal load time, and will certainly load much, much faster if you spam jump with everyone else.

Same issue. Also notice that my network usage spikes when this is happening (outbound...)?

Yes. ~150+ fleets jumping/bridging/loading and unloading grids feels so. damn. difficult to the client. Graphic settings have no effect on that. Maxed out bling mode or windows 95 style is all the same.

The **** can I do about this? :/

It knows what you think.

i too have been feeling that when there is any delay on the jump transistion that my trasnsistion on a mac compared to the rest of the fleet takes a little longer to complete when in a decent sized fleet.
