now I know you can trade toons in the forums and what not and I love the idea.

but I am making this guy my main and sitting there training core skills like engineering to 5 and gunnery and energy management and..... well you guys get the pic is not fun when all i can do is scratch my own a$$ it feels like in pvp, is there anyway people will know I trained this dude myself?

if there's not then I might as well just wait till a good toon pops up with cores trained, because 3bish b/o for toons that have those skills 4/5 is not bad considering the time saved. plus I would not be getting anything fancy as I said just core skills still want to just fly frigates/destroyers

just wondering thanks : ).

Only way you know if another player is using a bought too... charatcter, is when they undock an uber looking, high skill set ship in low sec then cry like a baby when it gets taken down by something that is cheep and cheerful.

Jimmy, the only real person who knows if you are using a character you have trained is you, and if you are realy into Eve, and want to do well, you are much, much better off training your own. Yes, it can be slow, but it will also help you understand how everything hangs together in the game.

I am not slagging off bought characters, though I wouldn't do it myself. But I do suggest that you need at least one that you have developed from a total nubbin into that uber combat/trade/whatever you want to do pilot, that way, you understand the game better

very good points. I am going to train my own character, its not like corps don't take newbies and I know if I am still playing 3 years down the track it will really bug me if I brought a character that I didn't train the first few mill of sp myself.

I love the character trade system, its a great idea. letting people who can earn isk buy another character for a specific purpose is great, and letting people who no longer need a character or earn isk by training characters is great.

just getting used to the training system, I love it just wish I could get have that little bit more sp like everyone lol, but still getting use to the fact that its fixed time, apart from implants etc etc.

lol Think yourself lucky we have skill cueing now. Yes, I have been so sad as to set my alarm clock for stupid o'clock in the morning, just so as I could set another skill off training *chuckles at the memory*

wait no skill que? my god that would have sucked. well maybe things are not so bad.

one of the pluses of being a newbie is no one expect much bit different if I could fully fit/max dps glad I didn't buy a toon as now I can sit back and learn the different ships in pvp, roles, tactics etc etc

and max your toon reminds me of Patrick Stewart out of x man lol minus the beard.

Skill queues and losing the learning skills (god that was a time sink) are 2 of the best things CCP ever did.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Yup, second that. Though I do miss laughing at Corpies and friends who you know should be in bed sleeping, but have gotten up at their 'silly time' to change skills

you have stumbled across a system with dust mercs in it. those are characters on the ps3 shooter dust 514 and even though their battles take place in many different systems in eve ccp still has them locked into a dozen or so local chanels so every once in a while you will stumble across a ton of them at once.
