Whats the process to evict someone's POS?

I have never been involved in a POS bash or anything of the like. I've been out and about finding a moon to anchor a POS on for another income stream. I've found quite a few anchored but offline towers.

This will be in high sec, so 24 hours after I dec, what happens? Do I have to just smash each structure? Can I unanchor them in some fashion for profit? I can't find any context menus to indicate that I can, but maybe once the war is live?

All of this assumes nobody comes running to put the tower online/smash my face.

Scenario 2 would be an onlined tower with no defenses. Do you shoot the tower itself to reinforce it? I assume so, but my glaring inexperience on this side of things has me curious. Basically I guess I'm just asking what steps are necessary to unanchor someone else's POS?

War dec -> Shoot control tower until it asplodes -> Unanchor/scoop the rest of the modules and loot -> Put up your own pos.

Assuming the corp you dec isn't inactive, you can also neckbeard it up and camp the highsec tower in question and wait for the owners to unachor it prior to the dec going live, just scoop with a cloaky hauler. A carebear of slightly higher intelligence will just make it very hard for you to kill his tower by anchoring hardners, guns, and a ton of ecm.
