The merit depends on the pvp situation and is different for everybody. You for example have limited two situations down to expected losses. How can you win when you expect to lose? You have already lost before you have tried. The merit would be that you make another loss and can hate yourself for having used somebody else's fitting. But I do not really know.


You are not answering the question. Why is an AB and long gun fit good? Why do you propose fitting your ships this way?
Now on to your post: Your just saying words, words that dont make any sense and have bearing to eve pvp. you should do everyone a favor and stop talking about a subject you know nothing about, and have no experience in.

Whitehound feels that he is able to dictate range with AB and a long range weapon platform.

The flaw with this plan is that a ship with a short range high dps weapon platform will MWD in and melt his face even taking into account sig bloom from the MWD.

Long range weapons are for NOT TAKING DAMAGE AT ALL, it doesn't work if you just kite the opponent for 5 seconds.

Also, pretty much what everybody else said, run an MWD shield fit or an MWD Plate fit, but use pulse either way because scorch is the godmode of Ammo.

Whitehound, please read again. I did not say that an ahac would have no ab. I was referring to multiple ship classes and fittings in that sentence. The no prop mod would be for something like a cockbag thrasher.

CCP, there are off buttons for ship explosions, missile effects, turret effects, etc. "Immersion" does not seem to be harmed by those. So, [u]please[/u] give us a persisting off button for the jump gate and autoscan visuals.
