I blame carbomization! Now only if they would fix ships only have three hit spots wed be rolling. Like all the turret spots used or unused being a potential place to be hit.

Very Cool. Almost better than everything else in this expansion.

+1 for randomized misses on other ships

This will be wonderful for new players not paying attention to what's actually happening on the battle notifications. Newbs in rookie will say "How come I am always missing" rather than "how come I do no damage"

Speed tanking will look so much more intuitive now.

Out of curiosity, what happens graphically when a missed shot intersects with a ship behind. Does the 'miss' graphic somehow always miss those ships too?

Or does it just go through the other ship?

I doubt it's going to show everyones hit/miss animations, as that would be extremely lag inducing. Probably at some point what will happen is that ships within a certain range will have the hit/miss animation, and out of like say a 40km range of the camra, it will show the standard animation, since you can't tell whether it's hitting or missing at that range. Besides, in small gang fights, your only going to be focusing on either yourself or your target anyways, right? And in larger fleet fights, all the animations shall be turned off.

Unfortunately, this won't make the alliance tournament any more epic.

It will if they can get the camera focus thing working, then all of the camera men would be able to see the misses.

Alternatively, if they get the members of your own gang thing working then I'm pretty sure they could ninja a way for the game to see the camera men as being part of the contestants gang(s) without it actually showing up on the over view.

Now if they could make missiles, torpedoes to miss/shoot by. and drones miss. I haven't checked either of this on sisi but I don't think it does.

There would be less torpedo explosion spam on the screen for a plus too.

Missile trails. When missile misses, it loops back and continues to search for target. (for a short period of time) (when time expires it explodes)
