Can someone explain to me what happens in the fight at 02:13, when he fights a Jaguar? He drops a can and then poof he's escaped a rather certain explosion.

jag bumped him and then overshot losing point. the can was jettisoned because he had loot from a previous kill in the cargo bay and did not want to take the chance of inflating his loss mail. i was in vent with him while it happened.
