scamming spam solutions

5-10-15-xx numbers of report against a player scamming/spamming the jita local for example with scam contract ets.and that player will no longer be able to use the local chat,say just in jita.i would personaly keep the number of reports needed to a small number.

Cool I have over 30 accounts, this will mean I'll be the only one left chatting in jita.

CFC and Test have over 20k players overall. Wanna compete in numbers of reports with them?

two problems come to mind immediately:

1. get your alliance together and grief someone off of local, no reason, just because you have enough votes to do it.

2. Scamming is a legitimate form of commerce in EVE and scammers deserve to follow the ISK and that ISK apparently is much easier to make spamming local.

Yawn,  I'm right as usual. The predictability kinda gets boring really.

So many threads on this that are, I'm sorry to say, better than the OP's and that have less room for abuse (see below) but my personal idea is this:

where [Char] has posted in Local [X Times] and content is unchanged in [X minutes] move to adjacent system.
X times could be 5 times in 5 minutes for instance.

If you're having a conversation you will almost never going post the exact same thing 5 times in as many minutes. However this might just get rid of the spam bots and spammers in general. Just furthering the idea.

Ultimate Jita crowding solution. Make Jita lowsec or 0.0 when it is too full.

Don't we basically have an anti-local scamming feature? I thought it was the ignore feature .-.

It's called 'Block' and yes but why treat the symptom an not the cause?

Why would you report a respectable scammer? It's legitimate gameplay.
If it bothers you then block the user. If he uses a script to spam local then use the report bot option.

As Johan and Maximus stated clearly, scamming is a part of EVE. It lends itself to local spamming just as large PvP blobs lend themselves to local spamming and trolling. Don't like that aspect of EVE? Then do as I do and avoid Jita and other overcrowded hubs like the plague. Hubs are not a requirement for success or profit in EVE. Close local and never open it. Can't talk to your buddies? Start a pub chat. There are too many solutions for avoiding the spam in hubs, we do not need a "fix" for scamming spammers.

Block is useful, but it is not a solution. It's just too easy for people to create another alt, and then you have to block another group of spammers.

Maybe an option to auto block any char under 30 days old. That would make the regular block much more effective.
