I swear! This has got to be the most anal retentive forum I have ever visited! You can't have a good time posting nonsense. I was having fun reading the posts in the thread, "It's an Outrage!", and was about to post my reply: "I don't want nude mods, I want flight suits, with helmets and oxygen hoses." However, LackofHumor had already locked the thread.

This is the "General" forums. We should be able to discuss any topic. Nothing is "off topic" in "General", but LackofNooky just loves locking threads. Someone needs to take the keys from him!

Hey! I have a great idea! This will prevent all of the threads needing to be locked. LackofSense can read all of the posts BEFORE they're posted to the forums. That way he can pre-approve them or pre-deny them as needed. Then there will be no locking of threads. It's an elegant solution to the thread locking problem.

Just to be clear. This is notcriticism, this is commentary. I am commenting, not criticizing. There is a clear difference.

*tsk!* Here he comes with the keys again!

I came to the general forum this morning, and it did look like someone went a little mad with the locking.

Jint Hikaru - Miner / Salvager / Explorer / SpaceBum In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

In before lock - And I think the mods do a great job of moderating the forums. They remove the unneeded threads such as this one and keep other decent threads clean and on track [most of the time].

Play EvE how you want to play it and do not let others dictate how you play. Evolve your playstyle to protect yourself from others! Even in "PVE", "PVP" is there, lurking in the shadows.

Hmmmm... I didn't mean to rant. Sorry. I was trying to comment on the unreasonable thread locking. Some of you approve. I do believe in the utility of thread locking, but it seems to go overboard here. I'm just saying. And I wasn't mad because I couldn't post my witty comment. I was taken aback at the thread closure. I don't see what's wrong with a little humorous conversations every now and again. The topic of nude mods is a lockable offense? Really?

Looking at the ISD comment I'd say that it's also about the fact that it would be against the EULA to modify the EVE client.


Of course this post could also get this thread locked as we are now discussing moderation.
