Searching for an old character or four

So I've got 3 old accounts that are unsubbed, but I want to check them out and see if any of the characters are worth selling here on the forums.

I'm not investing in a PLEX for each one of them just to find out that they're three 10 hour alts, and I can't remember any of the character names to log in to account management and get the free hours to log on and check them out. I know the username and password for each account, but Account Management requires me to name a character on the account to log in (security, my ass) and I'm stuck there.

Is there any way to recover at least the character names for these accounts? They're all at least a year unsubbed, so I don't have chatlogs, Evemon plans, or any other backups on my computer.

Do you know any other information about them at all? Corps they were in, mail they sent, KMs they were on, anything at all? If that's what you have (login and PW and nothing else), there's not much you can do. You could try and contact CCP about it, but I doubt they'd help (and they shouldn't, since it circumvents the security of making you provide a char name in the first place).

Hi Pinkamina Diane Pie

Forgotten character names are a common issue.
As already suggested it would be a good idea to take a few minutes to search for corps character has been in, or trying to locate names in old logs.

If you still, cannot find the character names, You should contact customer support by creating a petition

Logging in to Account Management will show you the characters on the account, even for inactive accounts. The names of the characters might help you remember which are worthwhile or not.

If you want to be able to log in to the game, use the "hours 4 PLEX" feature (also available via account management), which will give you 4 hours to log in. If you like to sell the characters, apply a PLEX in the4 hours; if you don't like the characters, simply let the hours go by. No costs involved at all (though the "hours 4 PLEX" feature will be disabled on accounts which use it and don't apply a PLEX).

It doesn't show me the names, that's the problem. It's asking for a name of one of the characters on the account before I can log into account management, for "security"

Do you have API keys for any of those old accounts?

edit: I guess the API keys won't do anything on their own, but if you have them loaded into evemon or EFT, you might still have a character name in there.

That could be an issue with the specific location you're trying to login from, for instance if you're connecting to a wireless network that doesn't have any security set up on it.

As an example, I can log in at home with just my account info, but at school I'm also required to enter a character name since it's a public network.

If you've never logged in before from that IP address, you get prompted to enter the character name.

Petition is your best bet.
