Hi, i'm running a lotto chat and was wondering how to attract players to it as every time i advertise i get called a scammer.

Now i do know that there is a lot of people out there who scam but we are legit and all we do is pay the winners the prize from all the ticket sales any idea anyone?

My first suggestion would be to not post here asking how to attract players. That being said, it's a little too late, and in before people start calling you a scammer here.

Ultimately, in EVE there are considerable trust issues. It's rather understandable as scamming is part of the game and people are pretty wary of it. However, it pretty much leaves the following course of action in order to get past the suspicion:

1. Consider everything you say, very carefully. Present a professional appearance, demeanor and word what you say carefully and it goes a long way. People are far more willing to give someone who writes properly the time of day than they are to listen to someone who doesn't capitalize, punctuate, etc.
2. Do not get insulted if people think you are a scammer. Move on with your life. If they think you are a scammer, that's their decision and you are not going to change their mind by talking with them. You're only going to look defensive, which simply strengthens their point. If you're not a scammer, time is on your side and it will be proven.
3. Realize that it takes time to build up a reputation.
4. Clearly state the purpose and rules of the lottery you are hosting. The only other post you've put up is rather lackluster in that regard and doesn't really say anything about your lottery, let alone how people win things. If you have clearly not put a lot of thought into what you're doing, people are wary of it.
5. Start small. Start by hosting lotteries for friends, corp mates, alliance mates, etc. Then spread from there. As people see that it is legit, they will start to become more comfortable with you and what you're doing.
6. Try and reduce the number of ways in which people could potentially be scammed through what you're doing. Even if you're a legit lottery host, reducing the number of perceived potential scams goes a long way. Implement some systems of security, use third parties to guarantee prizes, etc. Again, trust is slow to come by, so take advantage of the trust that others have already built up.

Just a few suggestions. Good luck.
