Rifter has really taken a back seat lately.

Most will tell you that the The Slasher and Breacher are better at what they do.

Slasher has the speed to keep ahead of Amarr lasers in close, and control the range of a fight.

Breacher has a hell of an active tank for a kiter.

I'm guessing if you tried the Rifter you have Projectiles trained, so try the Slash.

Go for maximum tank at first. Fights are over quick, and at least you'll live long enough to get a feel for whats happening.

Once you've lost your first 10 hulls, the nerves will start to settle. You might want to try the firetail at that point. It's kind of a slasher with about 30% extra Tank 'n Gank.

http://www.gamerchick.net/2013/01/the-beginners-guide-to-faction-war.html will get you started in the warzone.

And : http://www.evealtruist.com/p/know-your-enemy.html will tell you what to expect from each frig you face.

Fly it like you stole it! Have fun bro.

Nah fweddit was important but it isn“t amarr militia. Whole Sahtogas crew, ilaw, even koza was inactive after arzad.

The rifter can btw fit almost incursus like tank. Would try cap booster, active armor. Every idiot will leeroy into you.

Why is colt raging?

The incursus is a popular choice if you are in the plex already. It is very deadly at 0 if you can web/scram the person coming in. Blasters, of course.

I've been seeing an odd number of WCS fit Ventures in novice plex lately, so... there is that option.

The chickenhawk is a special subspecies of amarrian specially adapted to sperg right around the clock.

The hilarious tears and total lack of self-awareness don't even stop when it's asleep, i'd wager.

All joking aside, if you want a ship that can both do novice plexes and hold its own in small plexes, a faction frigate is probably the way to go. T1's have improved greatly over the past year, but it's still all too likely that in a small, you'll end up face to face with a destroyer or assault frigate (or both, or multiples of each) and get shredded. If you're willing to stick with small plexes, then a destroyer is probably your best bet - you can set up Thrashers for close-range or long-range, to suit your preferred combat style.

You know, you have the option of just...not fighting things you know you're going to lose to. You do not in fact just sit in the plex and wait to be pointed.

There will always be something coming aftre you that you cannot kill (be it a single ship or a gang). Refusing to use anything but the shiniest ship class that can fit into a plex type is stupid.

BUT But but.....

I often sit in plex with basic fit T1 frigs cos the majority of FW players are NOT interested in gudfights so you have to make you look an easy kill to get those pussies to actaully engage.

Sitting in a plex in the biggest/shiniest ship that cna fit will just cause you to either be blue balled or blobbed to hell. Both of which are no fun.

That is the Way, the Tao.

Balance is everything.

I removed some troll posts and those that quoted them.

5. Trolling is prohibited.

Trolling is a defined as a post that is deliberately designed for the purpose of angering and insulting other players in an attempt to incite retaliation or an emotional response. Posts of this nature are disruptive, often abusive and do not contribute to the sense of community that CCP promote.
