How many years will it be until CCP starts developing EVE again (if ever)?

Hello

So for the past couple years we have seen extremely mild (almost unnecessary) tweaking and polishing of stuff already in the game. We recently got a new launcher and undock button, a few ships were tweaked here and there. But for the most part CCP has been spending all it's resources on developing DUST as a game.

That's nice. A lot of EVE players who love PS3 defend this decision and it's ok. But nothing exciting is happening with EVE. Now even more resources are going over to DUST and I figure it will be 2 more years before that's over.

But wait!

Then there is WoD, after DUST CCP says they're going to be focusing on yet another game. So if this takes 4-5 years like DUST that means we won't be seeing anything new and exciting in EVE for 7 more years.

When will EVE advance as a game? When will gameplay DEVELOP... this does not mean splashing glitter on the UI. For the purpose of this discussion let's not call that "development"

As a sandbox game I guess they can add more features..... but there are so many already....

Last time they started working on new features (incarna, pi) everyone bitched that core gameplay was being ignored. Now they've been working on that.

It's all about treading a balance. Right now I'm pretty happy with where it's heading, when the tiericide in particular is finished the game is going to be in such a better place!

This "unnecessary" tweaking as you call it was demanded by EVE players after waiting :18 months: without CCP delivering any appreciable work, bugfixes or new gameplay being added to EVE.

CCP are improving so many different game-elements at the moment that you would have to be a complete cretin to think they aren't doing anything.

True I like these glasses, can't deny

But I'm talking about game changing development like wormholes were. But CCP won't do big development for us while it's developing other games. It needs a safe pool of $ from EVE addicts to draw from and doesn't want to rock the boat.

This other game development is hindering EVE

Where do you think the recources for that comes from. I'll let you pause for 15 and ponder this Q
