Questions about Combat Boosters.

Hello space drug lords,

I am considering dabbling in the booster industry, and to that end I have a few questions.

Before that, let me prove that I did my homework:

-I know that booster manufacturing is only possible in a POS.
-I know it is only possible in <0.4 sec status. (0.3 or lower)
-I am well aware of the bizarre ritual across hazardous chemical silos, reactor arrays, and
Drug Labs that must be done to get the final product.
-I know that beyond the 4 gases, there are also other reactants like water, garbage, etc.
-I am well aware of what the benefit vs risk rate for using the higher end boosters is (side effect).

I am, however, not privy to the following information:

-Are there ways to bypass customs officers so your spice can be sold in higher security systems?
-In your experience, do the boosters sell well wherever you put them up for sale?
-Is it possible to make every single kind of booster (and have plenty of the reactants for it) under one roof in your average nullsec system?
-Are the implants which minimize side effects still dropping? If so, where?

I would recommend using dotlan to find lowsec systems with a connected highsec system that get a lot of jumps/active players.

Mostly people use these systems as a basis for their operation (Jan comes to mind for example, close to Jita tho). Also FW systems can be a good guess. Just go where demand is and you won't have to deal with too much competition (at least compared to Jita).

I dabbled in booster production a while ago, had some success out in catch/stain when I lived out there with AAA. The problem I had was building the contacts with other drug producers to aquire the neccesary gas for the different flavoured boosters. As for selling, that's the hardest part. Either you advertise on the forums and aim to sell large quantities to capital ships pilots or you stock lowsec with them. Getting them into highsec (esp the improved/strong versions) is tricky because of the insta-locking customs officers. If you're really commited, have a smuggler alt with a dram and some lowgrade snakes to make it through systems so quickly that there's a very small chance of being scanned.
If you're interested, I'm looking to set up manufacturing boosters again and I believe I've come up with a unique solution to gas harvesting issues and I'm looking for interested parties to conspire with - drop silvin nighteye a pm in game if you're interested.

-There's no guaranteed method to smuggling, just minimize your exposure to Customs on the gates.
-Stock high-sec trade hubs and low-sec systems where pirates and combat fleets are active. As Mr Groth above says, selling is the hardest bit.
-As long as you have the gases, reactions and BPC's you can.
-Booster associated goodies drop from the combat gas sites in low and zero sec.
