Anyone who says something as arrogant as "I see the world as a micro-transaction" should have no place in EVE. The community has already shown a decent amount of disdain towards him, and frankly, I can't blame them. The man has shown through interviews and his track record of games he's had a hand in developing, that he cares about profits more than he does the games.

It's been almost 2 years since I started EVE, there's been a number of balance changes, some for the worse and some for the better, and the introduction of Aurum. But never in those two years have I gotten the impression that CCP cares about their money more than they do about their profits. And yes, they still care and want to make money, but the impression that I felt was they legitimately care about their community.

This is the first time that's changed. I have had a personal hate for EA's price models, and how they try to get money out of people. This man has obviously had a hand in their models, and adding him to the team can only mean that changes are coming, and I highly doubt for the better. I definitely won't be giving CCP anymore subscription fees if I start seeing his view of the world put into a game that I've enjoyed for almost 2 years, and has been actively developed for over a decade now.

I've said my piece, and I'm staying with you guys for now. But I really am annoyed by adding someone like him to a team that I respect.

I am not sure what's worse, this or mintchip. CCP needs to reevaluate who they let hire new employees...

It's not like 15$ a month is close to 3 5$ DLC a month right...

Oh wait, the DLC actaully are not required to play the game.

One or a handful of people from EA won't change the culture off CCP. You all can quit acting like CCP sold Eve Online to EA.

If eve online will become free to play with microtransactions, the servers will just break. Everywhere will be 100% TiDi.

Ofcourse I don't mind to see 355.309 people logged into the game when I look at my launcher.
