So this just came through on #tweetfleet ... didn't see a thread where people can freak out and scream yet, so I started one. P

This will be interesting to say the least given EA's history(edit: reputation), I can't say I know much about the guy though, I had a look through his history and nothing epic fail from what I saw.

OP Thoughts:
I should probably actually write my own feelings on this (although the thread has gone kind of how I assumed it would when I shared the news)
I'm not a fan of EA, in fact if I can I avoid anything to do with EA! I'm not really sure on Decker's history or what level of the horror that is EA he was part of, as long as CCP continue to work towards EVE being their main focus and all these side projects and new endeavours are not at the expense of EVE I don't really care what they do or who they hire.
I wish Sean all the best with the job and hope he can prove that he is not what we all fear! however.... EVE IS DYING! P

It would seem he wasn't involved in that terrible fiasco at the turn of the century where EA killed Origin Systems, Bullfrog, Westwood, many beloved gaming franchises and even tried to re-brand Maxis. X

I must admit I did panic a little when I saw EA tags.

How long before we can give him our welcome to EVE verbal bath and get him to dish the dirt on EA? Oh he must have stories!

If I had a former EA executive on board, I'd cash my severance package and run for the hills.

The best they could do was hire a guy from EA. EA is only good at one thing ... marketing. As far as games go they suck. Without Madden, NCAA, and The Sims EA would sink faster the Titanic. Not to mention this guy was VP of their P4F division. Makes you wonder if CCP is considering P4F again.

I try to be nice and mind my business just shooting lasers at rocks. There is just way too many asshats in New Eden for that to happen.
