HEY! CCP how about make it a little harder to hack and disband an alliance. Goons have done it twice, so why don't you make a littler harder to do next time, like take it to the next level. Blink

complaining about alliances taken down by deceit and betrayal shocker.

Still, it's the start of qualifying as just a one trick pony. Might've been impressive the first time. But now....

I don't think The Mittani has anything to do with this, to be honest.
I mean if he was, MAN did he ever forget to prepare for a lot of things, like dropping tcu's there directly after the fact for example.

If I were Dinner, I'd leave Catch and go to Fountain to fight TEST with CFC. Then I'd employ CFC aid to take Querious from NC.

Employ the CFC? Surely you mean PL.

I would be surprised if he didn't know, but but seems someone else (maybe more than one person) was involved in helping that guy get to, and push, the button.

That he was allowed to push the button in the first place was the problem.

It's a lesson (in all games really) that officers are to be trusted only so far, due to this potential. In WoW it's not deleting the guild bank and taking the gold (that all can be replaced), it's splintering the guild and taking your best players away. Which is why officers are best to be RL friends and/or family, as you have to meet that guy/gal in RL...and no game is worth destroying both being friends and having a family.

Like BoB, Solar trusted random strangers on the internet. That's like giving someone your pin number to a total stranger. If you can't recruit offline with friends or family to protect assets, you really shouldn't have an alliance. As you will get hit like this, especially in a game where crime is allowed.

Street smarts is needed, and geeks better get with the program. There's no cops here, and fun and games can end pretty badly.

Little too easy when one player can destroy the work of thousands with very little effort. These things would make more sense if they were done by a core group of officers. One player, no sense at all. Alliances suck so all in all a good thing.

I find it funny that people who are affected negatively by this complain about unfair game mechanics and that it's not fair. And then the same people say that ganking and bumping and gate camps are completely fine and 100% okay and allowed.

Make up your ruttin' minds.

I for one, think that all is fair in love and war. What the Goons managed to pull off with this is awesome, it's a feat worth recognizing.

From what I understand, Goons had nothing to do with it except maybe giving some disgruntled, barely active Nulli CEO a bit of advice. It obviously wasn't planned or the mop up operation wouldn't be going so damn fast.

I could be wrong though. Ugh

It's pretty well planned when it goes very smoothly.

It's just history repeating itself.

Blue doughnut became the prey.

Like with James and crew selling "miner protection".

Why to play with RL friends and family, because of what "pubbies" like to do.

I don' t know about that. There are insinuations that it was planned, albeit short notice. We'll never really know for sure unless someone speaks up.

That being said, I'm surprised (or maybe I've missed it) that nobody has argued the fact that the account seemed to be shared among several people. Having an account hacked and things (isk, sov) restored is one thing, willingly sharing your information with others is a completely different scenario. As with the theme of Eve: you risked it, you lost it. Tough shite.
