Started a very similar thread just before the forums changed.

I think CCP would be much more sucessful is they commited to their vision and stopped being randomly reactionary and influnced by whoever is the loudests segment of the game.

I totally agree with the OP. I am NOT paying CCP for the privilege of playing a game designed by a bunch of loud-texted players who want to bully their vision into my credit card expense. I'm buying CCP's vision of a game, not theirs. I know they think highly of themselves and couldn't possibly see themselves as INSIGNIFICANT, but in my business arrangement with CCP, THEY ARE.

I suggest expert game critics who just KNOW how to build the perfect game go ahead and build it. Let us take a look at it. The credit cards will then vote. But, with EVE...yeah, you can't be quiet, we understand that...just for the record, I'm paying CCP for THEIR product, not the product of their misguided "player base."

The right to free speech doesn't automatically carry with it the right to be taken seriously.

This is a bad post but I think what you are saying is that CCP should put Goons in charge of all future game development. Is that correct?

I wasn't the one telling CCP to develop two brand new games and neglect Eve. I'm not the one telling them to turn our beautiful internet spaceship game into Barbies in Space. I certainly wasn't the one telling them to introduce a microtransaction shop with items that cost more than their real life counterparts. That is correct. And I am afraid it might get worse.

The player community as a whole don't have a vision, it has several incompatible visions. And many of them are totally ignorant and focus only on making life easier for a specific player (them self). Trying to give everybody what they want in an effort to gain more subscribers will effectively destroy the game.

There is a thread where OP even argue that EvE should be more like WoW . The logic goes that WoW has to do things better since WoW has more subscribers. People are stupid.

It is much like democracy. It will never get it right. It will just try to find the lest worst alternative. Not the best.

I am asking for a benevolent dictator to step forward and enforce their vision.

Haha, I am not sure this would be the best idea but is definitively not the worst. I might even support that considering the alternatives.
