I would also like to reference to this thread because many players including myself encounter physical problems since CCP introduced the new jump effect. This includes headache, dizziness and nausea especially on long travels.

With this thread we demanded the CSM to take action. We demand CCP to deal with this issue.

I just realized.. isn't getting nausea etc. the ultimate immersion?
Jumps _are_ after all somewhat straining, to a degree that non-capsuleers avoid it as much as possible. <.<

Just came back to check this thread and see if anything was going to be done about this. When I jump now i minimize EVE and look at my desktop. I have a picture of a star formation from the Hubble telescope set there to look at during warps.

I just realized what the jump animations remind me of. Cut scenes for Quests in Runescape. That's where the game takes over your camera and floats you through a preset movie of some "epic" action. Woot!

Thanks for listening:) Have a great day:)

Change is the only constant. I will even adapt to blatant absurdity. You know who you are.

yea yea yea ... yada yada yada! You should immediately take some valium before you get a heart attack! It might be a better idea just to support an on / off option and you still get this you want to keep, then you may not need your medication.

Good luck 2 of the CSMs said they like it.

Did you expect anything different?

There's no problem guys. Let's not lose perspective. The devs are working on improving the animation. It's summer. Life is beautiful and I'm going to spend the day outside on my balcony reading a book with a beer in my hand. Maybe I'll go check out the local park while I'm at it. Nothing to stress about. EVE will be fixed shortly.

Also, if we're dicks about this, I'm guessing it will take twice as long to fix and the result won't be half as good. The best thing we can do is to say 'thanks for recognizing the problem' and chill.

Peace. Smile

I do not know. So far as I understand it is the CSM responsible for delivering the voice of the player to CCP, no matter what their personal preferences are. Personally, I think most of the players, devs and so on love the new animation. But this means not that the few players which have problems should not name them. The critics are always outnumbered. Which means not that they are not right. Eventually, it is not about thinks we can live with. It is about a direct influence on the health of people.

And this is not a new problem with games and movies which focus more and more on effects. This massive effects beating up on our senses you will not find in nature. So our bodies have difficulties with it. And I expect more of these things in the future of EVE Online because it is some kind of "Hollywood-Trend" currently, if you watch the newer movies. So I wanted to bring this issue to attention before CCP includes more of this stuff into the game only because they think it looks "cool".

It is up to CCP whether they want to ignore us because we are only a few or whether they take action.

Please make an alternative or tweak the thing. The slow stobe flashes in the animation are just bad and it causes client crashes....I have a decent gaming rig it's not me unless the benchmark we're using is the original CQ load.

While personally I have no issues with the new jump animation, I don't think CCP should be ignoring such a massive response from the player base.

While I personally have no issue with the jump animation in terms of motion sickness etc, I would gladly turn it off.

It Frequently goes wonky and doesnt display properly ( I appreciate that this may be something to do with my machine rather than a fault with the animation ) but If its going to go nuts on me I'd gladly go back to Loading Bars. Quite simply, a DEV doesnt like them ? Fine, replace them with something that doesnt create a response like the one being voiced in this and other threads.

When you get a response like this one, with this much support behind it, pay attention, make an interim solution quickly, then fix the larger issue as soon as you are able to.
Ignore it, drag your feet on it, marginalise it, or otherwise hope that it will go away and ALL you will achieve is to alienate paying customers.

You can't please everyone, but you can certainly do your best not to **** People Off.

Yes, it's your intellectual property and you can handle it how ever you please, but what you're doing now is bad business.

On a side note, SOME of the CSM are useful and do a decent job in their position, some others use the role as Free Pass to Troll and aggravate people. CCP should be looking into that..... Voted For or not, if an elected representative abuses his position, his peers, superiors or his constituents should be able and willing to censure him or have him removed.

I like the new animation but there really should be an option to turn it off. I agree that some people may have issues with it and we want to make sure we keep as many people as happy as possible :)
