So how were you aggressed? Why didnt you just log off when they started bumping you and just wait until you dissapear? Being bumped isn't aggression...

And no i didnt watch your slideshow because it was ******* terrible

I do kind of understand the OP's frustration.

It doesn't seem very EVE like to me to have a mechanic that denies people the able to defend a ship that is being attacked.... and yes, bumping a freigher 400 or 500km off a gate is an attack... because you'd have to be an idiot not to know how that's going to end. There are no modules you can use to help, reps don't really help, there are no configuration possibilities, there are often no alternative routes that don't go through 0.5 or 0.6 space etc etc.

Basically the freighter pilot's only hope is to haul next to nothing in it, run the gauntlet and pray.

During burn Jita one of our FC's ganked a guy's empty freighter for no better reason than that we had ganked a full one of his the day before and the FC remembered him and wanted to add insult to injury. Even flying an empty freighter isn't a kind of silver bullet that keeps you safe.

It's really disturbing that the only thing keeping any freighter in high-sec safe.... even empty ones.... is praying that you can somehow not catch the wrong person's attention. Personally I think there needs to be some fitting options for T1 freighters because how it is now is just shooting fish in a barrel.

That's not what they do. Its more than just bumping. You aggro the target by shooting at it with a rookie ship every <15min so even *IF* he manages to emergency-warp off, there will be ample time to probe him down.

I actually survived a bumping during burn Jita. How I did it was align as well as I could to the furthest out-going gate and then initiate warp and log off. I had noticed on previous gankings that this would sometimes cause the freighter to warp to the out-gate and then emergency-warp off of it again when it landed. I also turned on the autopilot before logging which I don't know if it helps but I figured if it didn't help it keep trying to warp then at least it wouldn't hurt.

I put an alt in system watching and I logged the freighter client back in the instant it warped away. I got logged in while he was still in warp and landed on the outgoing gate and jumped through upon landing.

I wouldn't put my money on that working twice though.
