Look at responses on DEV blog about it... too many "bitter wets" were against it... it was ruining "their game"... so CCP killed it...



I hope you guys are joking. They should get back to work on it. Many people absolutely raged on the new micro transactions and they didn't care and that interface was optional from the menu anyway.......Sad

and about UI... i hope for years that CCP do something about it...
in trailers UI is nice... and when you look at game you see its all the lie... it looks terrible...

the god damn neo neocom was kick ass, they allready redid the ui and took it back due to 19 forum posters.

Seriously, I counted. a 3 page feedback thread. with mostly negative misinformed comments. 19 people posting over and over again got a feature pulled. : (

Sometime sI dream the neo neocom is back in the game, and I can finally save my bottom screen space from pointless tabs.

It really could use a makeover, it just feels a tad cluttered, for some people like myself stuck on a laptop that looks distinctly Matari in nature (I'm not kidding, duct-tape, super-glue and I stuck more fans on it) While UI scaling is FANTASTIC (I can't stress this enough) more thoughts on the matter:

Overview. essential and you can design it to read out the stats that matter to you. If I was going to gripe, I'd like the ewar icons to be bigger.

Shield/Armour/Structure/Cap + Speed readout. essential. There is a ton of info in a small amount of space there, I guess it could be reduced if the cap became a bar instead of a circle but I like it.

Modules. essential, needs to be in a easy to access place, but could be improved, with overheating is a pain, and I've lost count of the amount of times I've accidentally overheated. It can be locked but I do a lot of lowsec work, and overheating has saved me countless times. Personally I'd like to see overheat being activated by shift + right clicking the module instead of the tiny green bar above the module.

Locked targets. Again functional but could be made a lot better, having instead of a line of boxes with pictures, instead having the Shield/Armour and Structure as a % number around the moving target itself. Though I also suspect that would annoy the pants off some people, It would look fantastic.

Neocom. A small bar along the side with everything you need, but I'd like it to go one step further with the option to have it completely hidden and pulled up with a hot key on demand.

I think that covers the major aspects, of course there are a ton of little things, but I don't have all day.
