1. A game with DX11 that will deliver the graphics seen at fanfest 2012 and with a continually growing storyline

2. I'm looking forward to more great expansions like Odyssey with huge content

3. My biggest fear for Eve is that Sony Entertainment will have more influence in CCP's running and this will impact on the game.

You only realise you life has been a waste of time, when you wake up dead.

High end prognosis: EVE becomes a full fledged virtual universe, from space to planet surface, where the player can immerse in a unique universe and find his niche, be it as the humblest shop owner or as a supreme leader of the fate of thousands of space warriors. All gamestyles are acknowledged, from solo players to herd minds, and from devote nolifers to people who need to be able to stop playing to attend real life without being punished for it.

Low end prognosis: EVE fades away as the endogamy of existing gameplay being expanded to retain the same niche players already enjoying the game kills any chance to atract new kinds of players and draw fresh blood. The continued development drives long time players away at a constant pace as each of them gets the wrong side of a change and is dealt the final blow. Beyond a certain point, the game becomes demographically unsustainable and dies.

A likely prognosis: the dificulties to find a off-house EP lead the game astray in two possible ways: a "player" EP whose cognitive bias pushes the game development according to his niche interests and alienates minorities; or a "non player" EP who is unable to grasp the game before start making decissions and leads it into a catastrophic alienation of minorites, some of them too powerful to be ignored. Albeit doesn't misfires, DUST 514 fails to retain a sizeable population and the interwining with EVE doesn't becomes a great deal to a demogrpahic who are not EVE players. Meanwhile, the 5-year development plan of adding more space to EVE becomes just an iteration of the existing unsustainable "conquer and defend" mechanics, whereas the deepening of unused space (aka: hisec) through new gameplay mechanics is fatally dismissed because of development constraints. In 5 years, EVE is facing a low end prognosis and CCP try to cheer up with a "jesus feature" for 15th anniversary, which fizzles due to lack of development resources. WoD is already starting to kick in as it attracts a new demographic for CCP products and EVE is quietly but fatally removed from top corporate focus as WoD takes the crown and CCP start working on a fourth, unrelated IP.

1. I think with the latest changes to ice mining that most of the ice mining alts will start mining ore. Which means cheaper ships and more people willing to pvp. The more there are, the more content there is for everyone!

2. Honestly this idea of building gates to new systems has me wanting to build a time machine to get there faster. When wormholes came out i took vacation for the chance to be the first!. I will do the same here!

3. That the game goes free to play. The issue with free to play games is that the company has to make it worth while for the player to give them money. I fear this may ruin what eve is. Pay to win is never fun.

EVE in the future will be spandex, huge shoulder pads, double monocles, and everyone will log in through Google glass. Poor Jita will be gone though. The sheer amount of scammers made the whole system turn into a huge black hole. It's said that if you listen close to he event horizon you can still hear them spam local.

Eve has continuously shown a clear evolution of the game both in content and player desires, but in technological avenues as well. I have been playing for several years and have watched this universe grow, evolve, and update to take advantage of new ideas as well as more powerful hardware to make the experience compelling, and immersive. With so much room left to develop and explore I look forward to further developments with content such as Incarna, new ship types, and new star systems as well as integration with new technologies such as Oculus Rift, and DX11 to make the experience something to truly behold.

1. What will be the game be like in in the future?

In the future, I see EVE online having solved its lag problem with the advent of terabyte per second internet speed. Thousand player fleet fights will be much more fun!

2. What feature am I looking forward to and why?

The high resolution texture pack and special effects! Eve Online deserves an overdue boost to their interface and HUD. PC graphic technology is constantly advancing and it's time for Eve to take the leap.

3. What is my greatest fear for the game?

My greatest fear for this game are some of the players themselves. Carebears mostly. They threaten what made EVE online so rewarding, taking risk.

1. What will be the game be like in in the future?
CCP will have completed refactoring the codebase (pos's anyone?) & iterating on all the content that was plugged in by the big expansions prior to Incarna but not developed to it's full potential.

2. What feature am I looking forward to and why?
The completion of WiS - Eve is spaceships but WiS opens the scope to so much more - imagine all those players camped into station actually having something to do rather than ship spinning or logging off. Eventually the ability for 'in-person' infiltration of enemy stations, hacking the docking computers to allow your people to dock & take the station over etc etc... WiS doesn't have to take over, but even a little content there would make a huge difference. Heck, even being able to hack a POS/jumpbridge/station using a hacking module on a ship would be grand.

3. What is my greatest fear for the game?
Three fears vie for the title of 'greatest' 1) CCP lose their original vision of 'complete' science fiction sim - sci-fi is about more than just spaceships... 2) As the game becomes more mainstream the great personalities & hardcore players lose interest, stop playing and are replaced with people who don't really understand that Eve is about making your own story not having it fed to you 3) CCP lose focus on the PC game in favor of 'trinkets' (eg tablet games) and mini-games (the hacking mini-game feels inappropriate for something happening in space, that should have been a WiS feature).

CCP have the EVE Universe officially registered as an alternate reality. The Icelandic Government ponder as to whether or not to annex the EVE Universe, but a Non-aggression pact is signed between CCP and the Icelandic Government.

CCP are heralded as the driving force behind affordable, full immersion virtual reality suits. It quickly becomes evident that various militaries from around the world find the suit an attractive and effective training aide.

In what has rapidly escalated into global panic, disbelief as well as awe and wonderment, a Wormhole appears outside the orbit of Mars. Here on Earth, a group of gaming individuals known as EVE Capsuleers form the Yulai Federation.

1. What will the game be like in the future?

Sexy ♥

2. What feature am I looking forward to and why?

More diverse clothing options with lower AURUM prices and Opening The Door©™.

3. What is my greatest fear for the game?

My greatest fear for EVE Online is it becoming more like other games. EVE Online is unique in every aspect of it and should stay that way forever.

3. What is my greatest fear for the game?

- CCP being bought by an obscure company that doens't understand nor care about EVE and ruin it.

What will Eve be like in the future?

Eve's universe will have expanded exponentially, to an infinite number of systems and galaxies. The path to earth will be rediscovered by explorers and a new battle will will begin, with new weapons, new ships, new character races and new graphics unparalleled by any other MMO.

The feature I am looking forward to and why?

I am looking forward to controlled, in-cockpit flight through space and in planetary atmosphere. Why? Because I love to manually control my vehicle with a flight system rather than a mouse. The feel of control is greater, the response time from flight system to vehicle is much greater and easier to manipulate than mouse to vehicle. Immersion will be enhanced greatly as well as over all game graphics with the design of the vehicles control systems, cockpit, HUD, etc.

What is my greatest fear of the game?

That CCP sells out to a big game developer corp and we lose the experience that is Eve as we know it. Eve being such a huge part of the developers, designers and creators lives I feel that this is not a likely event to occur but still.....it is a scary thought.

I just wonder whether EVE will see the day when real world tax authorities require you to pay income taxes on veldspar mining because EVE is too real.

Greatest fear has to be that CCP will stop the game because they don't see much profit in the future. <- I think everyone will agree this is a devastating thought.

1. What will be the game be like in in the future?

There will be more excellent plot twists and political intrigue within the EvE and Dust law that will make our minds blow, such as the first clone uprising, the war for Caldari Prime and the twin personality of Empress Jamyl of the Amarr empire.

There will be more player driven madness such as the current War in Fountain and the S2NC disband that has now happened (BoB anyone?), more empires toppled and more tears to be collected. It will be glories.

2. What feature am I looking forward to and why?

I'm looking forward to the implementation how Supercarriers and Titans will finally have a more active role in the EvE universe that won't be scorned at nor will they be as over powered to a certain degree. Let the super carriers dock up already while balancing the HP they have.. maybe?

3. What is my greatest fear for the game?

Letting Mioka stop training when I breath my last and close my eyes to the world for the last time.

Well if it continues in the direction it's going I can only see it getting a lot worse for new players.

I don't really mind what new features you put in, but moving the mid engines on the Iterons would be cool...That way it won't look as if it's about to melt itself into two pieces.

SONY getting involved scares me.
You continue to let the big alliances involved with low/null/sov dictate game changes, it's ruining the game for a lot of players...Let the Devs dev and players play.

Solecist Project...." They refuse to play by the rules and laws of the game and use it as excuse ..." " They don't care about how you play as long as they get to play how they want."

Welcome to EVE.

1. What will be the game be like in in the future?
Everyone is wearing hats. Possible tin-foiled ones as the 'free to play' community has taken over the stations and are knocking on capsuleers doors.

2. What feature am I looking forward to and why?
Hats and some use (why = value) for janitors (read: "exotic dancers").

3. What is my greatest fear for the game?
Hats... On spaceships... In wormholes...

I disagree!

1. What will the game be like in in the future?

You will be able to dock your multi-manned(multiple players) space craft to your modular space station after you've successfully supported your Dust teams on the in-orbit/atmosphere fights over planet X, and have a round of poker with your buddies and Dusties in your station casino module, newly decorated.
You could also invite your friends to watch EvE TV in your self designed/built quarters.
When you log out of EvE You actually remove your Oculus Rift Headset, and put on your Google Glass to keep track of your "Training Plan Queues" for this month.

2. What feature am I looking forward to and why?
POS and Corporation roles rework. Because i really love them, and am struggling to go by day by day. I came to eve with the dream of building my own space station, it was pretty disappointing of what i found.

3. What is my greatest fear for the game?
DUST loses traction and takes EvE down with it!
EvE stops innovating!
POS'es don't get revamped!

1. What will be the game be like in in the future?
Eve has been, is today, and always will be, a "hive of scum and villainy."

2. What feature am I looking forward to and why?
Fly up next to an abandoned, forgotten structure in space - then get out and explore in person.

3. What is my greatest fear for the game?
Eve survives because of conflict; I fear that the null sec coalitions will continue to grow until the conflict stops.

Other predictions:
CCP Guard grows old and retires, and during his retirement post, mentions how much he looks up to all of his fellow devs.

CCP starts to offer real gold-plated monocles in their online store.

Spy agencies around the world discover Eve and start to recruit players for their infiltration and social engineering expertise.

The Eve community and Hilmar enter into a bet. As a result, Hilmar dresses in drag while locking and unlocking 10,000 BPOs in a corporate hangar. The community smiles smugly.

CCP finally makes use of its acquisition of WhiteWolf. "EVE: The Role Playing Game" is released for tabletop RPG fans everywhere.
