Titan Bridge + Stealth Bomber + Bomb = Potential Exploit?

As you can see in this video Black Legion and Pizza Alliance uses and exploit to launch a bomb after bridging in to keep the bomb from flying the required 30 kilometers and all the while maintaining an invulnerability timer. So technically it is two exploits at once. Shocked

I would like to know if this is an exploit or not because if not, I want to make sure everyone else is allowed to activate a bomb module, kill people and never be in any danger of being shot at.

Even at worst this is the kind of thing, that you're ok to do until CCP either says otherwise or patches things up. Certainly nothing I'd hesitate to do, if I was given the chance.

CCP have known about this for over 6 months it's not new at all :p

they have actually tried to fix it before iirc

It wasn't declared an exploit then so chances of it being declared an exploit now is slim to none.

you know that shooting the bomb breaks invulnerability for the bombers that fired it right?

also this is possible after a gate jump, just they would have to wait to decloak and then fire there bombs to maintain zero speed on the bombs.

working as intended is my view, just a little surprised no one came up with this before

OMG when can i get a pic here

how is it not working as intended?

jump immunity is something every ship gets until it does something to break that

bombs don't travel if the ship is at zero speed

I don't see how this is anything but a new valid tactic. but please explain it to me

OMG when can i get a pic here

Thats pretty cool.

EDIT: Well, the concept is cool. The video just reminds me how awful nullsec is.

I have no idea what just happened in that video.

EvE clutter in a ball of dots, then something happens...and people cheer...What?

more like people run to the forums to cry about losing a ship. you can see a fine example of this tactic in the OP.

Made a signature so I am taken seriously on the forums, since thats the only thing they are good for.

Anti blob exploit? Sounds like a feature.

No exploit in my (ignorant) opinion. To reiterate other posters:

All ships have invuln for 60secs after a session change.

That ends when a bomb is dropped.

Static bombers produce static bombs.

Wonder if the op also thinks bridging smartbombing black ops gang onto a drag bubble is an exploit.

Somebody set us up the bomb!

BTW, a bomb does have velocity independent of the ship that launched it.

They lost a full fleet to bombers! This must be an exploit!

Oh wait ... happens everyday.

Edit: If you check the battle report, it's not even that dramatic. BL and Pizza came out with 88% isk efficiency, but they have sacrificed quite a lot of bombers for that. Where is this invulnerability you speak of?

Kudos to BL and Pizza for going in with the shotgun! Happy to set the trap for you!

I was there... ate all the bombs... and moonwalked out of there with all shield gone

Yes, but the direction in which that velocity is applied is determined by the direction the launching ship is travelling in. If the ship hasn't yet moved, there's no information on direction for the server to apply to that bomb.

Weeell… technically, there is. It's just that travelling 30km along the vector [0,0,0] doesn't do much. P
